Home sick

Went to work late on Mon...then got a fever had to leave. Can't go back until 24 hrs fever free off of fever reducing med. Have a little upper respiratory stuff...don't feel too bad as long as I keep fever down, but sound awful. Went to doc yesterday because still had fever off meds and was diagnosed with "the crud."

What sucks is all the work piling up.

Sorry you're not feeling well ... being sick is terrible, but right here just before the holidays is the pits. Usually, when I utter "I don't have time to be sick" is when I really get it!

be glad you don't have the bug going through my office.

co worker left yesterday b/c his wife was violently sick...coming out both ends.

not 2 hours after he leaves I get a text from him saying he had the same thing. Neither of them could keep water down all day.

SOunds like absolute hell.

Stomach poo is the worst... literally...

I had the head crud last week but some anti-biotics and mucinex knocked that out fast.

Sucks.

I've been sick roughly half the time since summer this year. Mostly a recurring 102 fever for a week, then I'd be well for 2 weeks, then I'd be sick again.

That sucks...have you seen a doc about it?

For an illness keeping me home I can't complain...almost anything would be worse. Don't want that GI crap.....and where I work....our residents got the first diagnosed case of flu in the state...now we also have the highest rate in the state with 10 residents out of 322. (last I heard) A direct care staff, who did not get a flu shot went out of the country...came back sick and went to work. She works in the area with the most fragile residents. Even though all our residents (and most of the staff) got flu shots...heard she brought back a different strain.
