Played the league's BEST defense AND won. Our defense played lights out and stymied a pretty damn good run game and made a rookie QB LOOK like a rookie. We got through the 3rd quarter without too much damage after halftime adjustments. We won. I am happy and thrilled because this was one helluva step in the right direction.

Teeray had it right from the start. You can't compare the offense and defense on your team from a drive point of view unless you use a global measure such as points for versus points against. And in that case they both were successful because the defense helped the offense particularly in the first half. They won the turnover battle and gave the offense great field position.

And the offense gave the defense a big lead which helped them in the secondary and limited the rushing attack of Houston. Plus the offense finished the game and took all the pressure off the defense for once. It was a thing of beauty and long overdue. It is too bad it took us 14 games to actually play a complete game against a quality opponent. As a measuring stick it was a hopeful sign for the future.

I hope we win next week. It will make an early christmas present or a late birthday present. I would like both.

Tough week for the anti-Cam trolls altogether - no win for The Golden Calf of Bristol, no win for T.J. Yates, and Dalton squeaked out a 63 QB rating against a pitiful Rams team.

I love Dalton but he's beginning to prove that he's completely dependent on A.J. Green.

What I'm noticing with the Pathers is the desire to have Cam be able to turn to anyone of the guys on the offense at any given time, not just Smitty. That's the style of playing Tom Brady is famous for.
