1st team to have three straight 10+ win seasons

1st team to appear in the playoffs three straight times

Except for when the Cowboys appeared in the playoffs in 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, and 1973?

What about when the Cowboys appeared in the playoffs in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996?

Do those not count as three straight playoff appearances?

Oh, and btw, the Cowboys also won 10+ games from 1991-1996.

1st team in the NFCS to have 4 winning seasons in a row.

Ryan needs 4144 yards to pass Jeff George. He's at 3698 atm. Needs about 225 yards per game these last 2 games to pass him.

Ryan needs 6 TDs to hold the Falcons season record (Bartkowski 31)

Turner 1 rush TD to pass Gerald Riggs for most in Falcons History.

White needs 175 ish yards to pass Terrance Mathis for most yards receiving in Falcons history. 290 to beat his own single season mark (which is also a falcon record)

Abe needs 1.5 sacks to have the Falcons all time record.

Need a Panther fan to come in here and post some for Newton and the Panthers

Smitty owns the franchise record for yards, receptions and TDs.

Smitty became the 35th (I think) player to reach 10k receiving yards.

Cam needs 17 yards to break rookie passing yards record.

He already has most rushing TDs for a QB at 13, but after not getting any last game he's not likely to break Dickerson's all position rookie rushing TD record.

I think Peyton's 28 overall TDs was a rookie record, Cam already beat that with 30.

That's what I got off the top of my head.

We have lots of record posts for the Panthers in the Panthers forum (Smitty's franchise records, his 10k yards, Newton's numerous rookie and all time records he has already gotten and is on track to get).

Figured but i don't venture there often. He's already broke most the records he was on pace too correct? (cam that is)

Posted before you edited lol

Eric Dickerson was insane when he burst into the NFL.

You forgot Ryan is currently tied with Dan Marino for most victories for a QB through their first 4 years in the league. To be fair, Flaco is right there as well, he's only 1 win behind Marino/Ryan.

    • A team should always be putting at least one or two draft picks in at tackle and guard each season. Those guys just don't last nearly long enough and those that do get very, very expensive. In our situation, we need a little more time to see what the Icky injury works itself out to. Njiman performed really well out there and if this injury lingers into the next season, then he might do well enough there to hold the line for the team. Or we could draft early if there is a stud LOT in the draft when our spot comes along.  Honestly, we may be looking at replacing both LT and RT this season at this point. Moton is getting long in the tooth and while he deserves a shot to go for a playoff run with this team, I don't know whether we will really see him come back next season yet. It's still so darned early in all of this to say.
    • Because we had a ton of things go our way this year and made the playoffs with a -70 point differential.  This year was the outlier.  Regression to the mean is unavoidable.  So the team will have to significantly improve to beat 8 wins next year.
    • One thing I noticed in this game (and I say this as the biggest of Bryce Young haters) is that Bryce did do a solid job of throwing into voids in this game, and leading receivers on crossers.  There were a few times where I was thinking "where the hell is he throwing it" only for a receiver to appear out of nowhere and catch it in stride.  Mike McDaniel might be a guy that can squeeze a little bit of production out of the otherwise ghastly Bryce Young. His offenses heavily feature that style of passing game.  I've heard Idzik is drawing interest from other teams.  If so, bringing McDaniel in at OC would be a stellar move.  I know it'll never happen, but fun to think about.
