Best Buy can't meet online demands by Christmas

Amazon sells their own stuff but they also allow 3rd parties to sell via Amazon. Amazon's customer service is top notch. Never had one problem in getting a product replaced if it was damaged. Plus I get free 2 day shipping since I'm a Prime member. I stopped going to Bestbuy when their manager accused me of fraud when I tried to use one of their own reward zone coupons.

Classic bait and switch no reason they shouldnt have the products.

No its not. This kinda stuff happens all the time in retail. Can't even tell you how many times when I worked in retail that we'd have sales on things and not have any of them in stock and then not be able to order them in the system. Items that we were able to order came in late regularly too.

They had very few of the items on sale stocked and get people to come in and hope they buy other stuff in the store. If they wanted it shipped to the stores they could have gotten it there. They set aside so many to sell at the discounted price and when they ran out refused to order more.

To be honest, I'm afraid to buy from Amazon. I guess part of the problem is that I don't really understand it that well. Is it a warehouse that sells merchandise, or does it just facilitate sales between individuals? And what if you get something that doesn't work or is damaged, how easy is it to return it.

I guess that sometimes when I look for something on amazon, I can't tell if it's just a glorified ebay or craigslist, or if it's a legitimate business that controls the items it sells.

Did you ever order anything from the Sears catalog? Or any other retail catalog? It's the same thing. Only you order from a computer.
