Not any more, he's rising fast...

Regarding your point about gambling....

If you don't throw the kid to the wolves right away, his success rate goes way, way up. The first rounders who have failed were, more often than not, thrown in there with little hope of success.

Draft boards are definitely picking him up top 10 now and even close to 5. I've even heard talk of him going possibly going number 1, but I don't believe that...

Honestly can you see Sanchez here I cant. Think we will pass on all of this years QB's and pick one up next year (Yes even White).

I certainly see White as a much better chance than Sanchez. That just aint gonna happen, we're not going to trade up to where we need to go to get him, not...

Biggest problem we have is roster spots. Have 3 signed Qb's that we wont let go and dont have the room to keep a 4th one. We might pick one up that is Training camp arm and stash on the pratice squad but it wont be a top 5 pick.

Oh, I agree with you. And we are not going to trade up in the upper first round to get Sanchez or Stafford, it's just not going to happen no matter how much fans stomp their feet about it, it's just not going to happen. Next year is the year to look for a QB, it's a rich class...

But remember that Fox and Hurney both agree that a 1st round QB is a waste of time, go figure...

This is my main problem. History simply does not bear this out.

Ok, show me the first round QB's who have, immediately. I'll work on the latter rounds and undrafted QB's that have. We'll meet in the middle.

Brady, there, I won...

First round QB's can often win and put you in the playoffs. What is your goal? Playoffs or Super Bowl wins? You were in the playoffs last year and you're pissed off about it. Offense puts you in the playoffs, defenses win championships, let's worry about a QB next year...

No, no, no.....I want them to take a top level QB for the future, or to replace Jake if he gets hurt....less pressure on him either way. I'm not saying draft Sanchez or anyone else to start over Jake.

No, I completely understand your position, I'm just saying that it's not gonna happen. Fox and Hurney won't do it, they're not in position to do it and it will be way too expensive to get into position, and this year I agree with them...

Go Moore and McCown...

Actually it does.

Were the last few Super Bowl QBs first round picks? Yes, but that's not the whole picture. Those three teams aren't the only ones who've taken first round or high round QBs.

The bust rate is bad, and when it happens to you it can set your franchise back for years.

That's the risk they don't want to take, and they're not alone.

The bust rate is bad at ALL positions.
