I hate to beat a dead horse, but..........

We got one very questionable call that went our way (the horsecollar on Cam), but the BS non-calls the Saints were getting all game were FAR more impactful. Don't think we woulda won this game even with fair officiating though. Probably still wouldn't have even been close.

You mean the call where the analyst felt the need to explain to America why it happened? Maybe the refs felt they needed to redeem themselves seeing that those who were calling the game was making so much out of that call.

The NFL has become such a political arena that you can sit and almost predict that is doing to happen when a more preceived superior team is playing against a not so selected team.

For every one bad call or non-call that didn't matter much to the outcome of the score, the Panthers had going their way, the Saints got two that really mattered going their way.

lol have you not been watching the Saints play all season? They got the refs in their pocket. Refs are too busy watching Brees break records. heh I wonder if Shockey agreed to drop a few passes as payment for the tickets Sean Payton gave him for his family.

I've found that broadcasters are often hesitant to be critical of the NFL or the refs. Perhaps they are afraid of getting a letter from the league office. NFL is the only one with this kinda power. Not the case in the NBA, EPL, or UEFA.

Per Peter King, MMQB, "10 Things I Think I Think"

c. Jimmy Graham, with one of the best one-handed catches of the season -- with a Panther linebacker draped on him.

d. What a catch by Steve Smith, with Gumby-like use of his feet on the sideline.

They are a good team... They have an Amazing Offense but an Awful Defense. Their like us but an upgraded Panthers 2.0.. But most the time you need decent at one and great at the other to win the Superbowl. I doubt they can beat Green Bay tho

Our Defense is better than GB and NE's....

and yours

Green Bay's defense is overrated and the Patriots have a horrible defense. This is the year to win a Super Bowl with a bad defense if there ever was one.

    • yeah, Steve was basically like on any actual topic that approached his flaws/problems.....89 went with the long winded, try to sound like a wise man strategy of just basically just pleading the 5th (and sprinkling in the idea that others could of been wrong or wrong too).   also, in terms of the assaults and stuff like that....it feels like old 89, I feel has sort of forgotten his well-documented confessions and apologies about that aspect and era of his and was trying to re-write his story/image in hindsight.   And in all honesty, it seemed like a PR move on the twitter/cheating stuff also attempting to play himself as not the bad guy some think with the intentional vague suggestions. and the Pivot and all these athlete moves to basically take the reigns and power from traditional outlets exposes they have just as bad as flaws if not more often than the traditional media folks.  I mean I do like the free form long talk when dudes are telling stories but all this stuff is largely flawed and controlled PR often.
    • Sadly, I agree and I’m a huge Melo fan. Might be time to ship him out. Don’t want to make the same mistakes the Pels did. They should’ve gotten rid of Zion two years ago.
    • I forgot he was on the team and I'm pulling for him, but the statistics are not in his favor.  Some guys can recover from injuries and others cannot and let's hope Brooks is the former.  He was a beast in high school and college.
