89 Guarentees Playoffs Next Year

they should. no reason that they shouldn't after the tweak some things on offense, get everyone healthy on defense and add a few needed components in defensive personnel.

by the way, this was the last time we get swept by any team in the NFCS for a long time. next year we hit them in the mouth repeatedly and start dominating and embarrassing them in their homes. the bucs were just the first that we did that to. the falcons will be next then the saints.

On the bolded, I hope so. Im tired of the talking by both Saint and Falcon fans. I miss doing the talking, lol

As far as Smitty's guarantee; I like it. Just gotta get the defense shored up, and we should be good to go.

Smith, who led the team with 1,394 yards receiving and seven receiving touchdowns, said the Panthers will continue to go up next year saying he has plenty of faith in coach Ron Rivera.

“I guarantee we’re going to the playoffs next year,” Smith said.

I will go out on a limb as well and say right now our defense will be top 10 next year. I don't care so much about yards as points allowed. With the teams in our division, that will take quite a bit as our division has some good offensive teams. We on the other hand have had some good defenses over the years as well.

    • Man, we're desperate around here.  I had to look at Peppers' stats to see if I'm missing something, but no, he's an average guy at best.  Nothing impressive at all in his stats.  He's not a true safety at all, and I'm kind of annoyed with the jack of all trades players at this point.  Of course I see the PFF scores and everything, but I'm old school.  I believe the stats tell more about the player than the analytics.  This ain't moneyball here. (haha)  The best players put up numbers.  And when I look at the numbers, Peppers is just another player running around on the field.
    • People see what they want.  I have also stated since the moment we drafted Bryce….a badly owned team was screwing HIM over by setting him up to fail by coach/scheme design.   Core criticism isn’t actually Bryce…it’s Carolina/front office.  I could see Bryce being good.  I could see Canales being good.  But I don’t see them as a pairing.  Football is about fit.  Board is doing what the board does.  People were idiots who dared question the All Star staff.  People raged when Fitterer was criticized.  They raged when Rhule was criticized.   Until they didn’t.
    • Yeah and to make it weirder Moehrig is a FS, Peppers is a SS.
