really good interview and worth watching.

felt that guys that had to step up and fill in for starters did well and got some good experience.

healthy and experienced LB corps with him, anderson, and davis will help next year a lot.

likes fat guys playing DT in front of him he worked out with fua yesterday. mcclain and fua getting thrown into the fire early helped with their development. likes shirley and kearse and neblett a lot. sounds like he feels good about DT.

thinks special things are going to happen if they keep momentum going forward all offseason. feels like team can make the superbowl next year (not guaranteeing it, btw).

asked if this is the closest knit team he's been a part of. said he doesn't know if it's the closest knit, but the guys that are on the team have bought in to what's going on and believes in it.

said rivera is staightforward and by the book. no room for error and demands the best. likes being in meetings with him and watching tape because of his background as a player.

I find it encouraging that most of the team leaders (Smitty, Beason, Davis, etc.) seem jazzed about the potential of this team from this point on. That the backups have been forced to step up as starters can only be to the good when it comes to the experienced depth we can field. While I won't go so far as to predict a Super Bowl appearance next year (although it probably isn't out of the realm of possibility if things fall our way), I do think we'll be a serious threat to whoever takes the Panthers on in 2012, and that Smitty's promise of the playoffs is likely to be spot on. I can't wait to see the draft and get the reports from minicamp! If the Mayans are right, let's end the world with a Panthers championship!

Kinda hard when the Superbowl is played in 2013

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
