Fox & TEs

lol that's not true at all.

also the tight end position is evolving and defenses will need a few years of drafting to catch up to stopping the jimmy graham archetype that's taking over the league. and remember the pats have the best receiving tight ends in the league.

C'mon on man...don't use that excuse for Fox.

For 10 years as a season ticket holder I have personally watched every mediocre to great TE run through every defense Fox put on the field.

Cute anecdotal generalization but half the years fox was here we fielded a top fifteen defense. Once Meeks arrived and switched to a Tampa Two where tight ends could slip into holes in the zone we became much more prone to being beaten there. The last couple of years of Fox's tenure were the most frustrating as a whole, so perhaps those years stand out more in your mind.

The Panthers have been historically bad at covering TEs, not just the last two years. The last two years were the worst, but as long as I can remember under Foxball, the cats simply had no answers for TEs.

Historically we got a ton of quick pressure and had an elite secondary. Often offenses were forced into quick checkdowns to tight ends as wide receivers simply didn't have time to get open.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
