Maggette Struggling to Return

Corey Maggette (hamstring) still can't run or jump, and there is no timetable for his return.

Maggette said that he's grateful just to "walk a little more normal." That doesn't sound like a player who's anywhere near a return, and given his injury history we're even more skeptical about his recovery. He was originally targeting an early February return so presumably we'll get some positive updates in a few weeks.

Kidd-Gilchrist has been compared to Gerald Wallace...either him or Harrison Barnes who has been compared to Luol Deng

I'm a UNC fan and I say give me Kidd-Gilchrist.

I think we need a scorer at SF and Barnes to me is more of a scorer than Kidd-Gilchrist. I haven't seen him play this year but saw one or two games of his HS team where he was formerly just Gilchrist.

But we'll just have to see how the season progresses.

I like the comparison to Gerald Wallace...but Barnes might fit better on a team that lacks legit three point threats.

Barnes will be more NBA ready coming out of college, but as a UNC fan, Kidd-Gilchrist has far more upside. He will be a All-Star one day.

Barnes is a 6'8 jump shooter who doesn't have a killer instinct. Kid-gilchrist right now is a better scorer then Wallace and will do the dirty work rebounding, defense and taking it to the hole. Things barnes doesn't do. Gilchrist is my pick he will be a superstar.

I'm a die hard UNC fan but Barnes is a bust. He sucks. I'm sorry. What a dissapointment he has been. Do not want him. He needs 2 more years of college in a bad way.

MKG is already a great bball player but his leadership and outstanding work ethic is what makes me really want to get him. He will be elite in the NBA (not right off). I would put money on that.

Same here, I've seen all the UNC games, and if these college defenses are keeping Barnes locked down, I don't see how he can be a big scorer consistently in the NBA. I agree he is in the mold of an NBA wing player, but something is wrong with his game right now.
