I realized a lot of players and teams don't think while on the field

All Flacco needed was 1 yard and he had a timeout. All he had to do was run it and pick that first and call a timeout. Now you got at least one chance to score a TD, if you cant, throw it out the back of the end zone

Remember that one game, can't remember, when all we needed was 5 yards. And Cam threw the ball unsuccessfully 4 times to the end zone to win it. 5 yards..... ??? Cam had WIDE OPEN running lanes. Thats not smart. After the 2nd try your thought process should kick in and its time to analyze the whole situation. I see so many common sense things its unbelievable

Are you really criticizing his play on the last drive of his FIRST NFL game?! Plus, that had nothing to do with his common sense, but instead that was Cam trying to prove to the media that he is a pocket passer, not a run first qb (which was indeed unfortunate for us in that situation)

Naw my point stands at joat says

Cam did that once though either at home or on the road. We was down and he threw it 4 straight times to the endzone unsuccessfully when all we needed was 5 yards. It was so many games we had to come back and do something, can't remember which team it was

Its not that relevant though

I realize a lot of fans are excellent in knowing the right thing to do after a plan happens. I realize a lot of fans know what is best in every situation.

Minus the fact that they only had 1 TO left... so if you use it and have a play the ends in a sack... intentional grounding or with a 10 sec runoff rule the game can be over without even a FG attempt... also in that situation the patriots know you have to go to the endzone so it makes making a play that much more difficult.

I'm sure like the 2nd down play they had been driving the ball very well on the NE secondary so why not try to go for another shot when you have the chance... Also the ravens running game had not been dominating the Patriots front 7... and Vince had been showing the line up, so why run and maybe not even get a shot to the endzone? Now that is what people here call fox ball and what people always criticize.

Hindesight always 20/20 again... most coaches don't ice their own kickers. In the past when a coach does and they miss he gets the blame... now if he doesn't ice his own kicker or call a TO and the kicker miss it's his fault.... SMH.

Yea I understand all the possibilities that come with that TO. My problem is Flacco throwing a dangerous pass which got batted down when he had a TO and only one yard. And he was already rolling out

Icing his own kicker is a good point as well. I thought that too. It just seem like that one TO coulda did a lot to change the game and it went unused for a team on the comeback

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
