I love these pics of Eli from last night's game.

Eli has led the league in interceptions several times, and I don't care if they were tipped or not.

Every QB I listed above him has a higher career rating by a long shot, based on my memory (I'd have to look it up), and until the team around him started getting better in recent years, he's been average.

Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks are one of the best young WR combos in the game, and Eli still has trouble more often than not. Yes, he has stepped up in some clutch situations from time to time, but even a blind squirrel will find a nut from time to time.

Rivers, Ryan, etc. haven't had the greatest WRs over their careers, and haven't even had the line/supporting cast that Eli has had, yet have been more successful on a game-by-game basis.

If you want to argue that at current Eli is top 5 in the game, I'd say he was top 2 because he is one of 2 with a game yet to play. However, if you're talking ability/talent of current QBs, I'd say any playoff QB this year is equal or better than him.

You sir are talking out of your ass, have you even watched a giants game this year? Every giants fan knows right now that the only reason we even made it to the playoffs this year was eli. We had one of the worst defenses in the league and thee worst run game, not to mention an o-line that is pretty much a revolving door. Also as for the progression of cruz and nicks, eli spent all of the offseason and through the lockout working with them and he played a major role in their development. Sure his numbers arent all that great at times but he doesnt play in san diego nor does he play in a dome. I'll take a clutch qb, superbowl mvp and his 7-3 post season record over any pretty looking stats you want.

Oh and PS, Giants fans have been the biggest critic on eli since his career began and you wont find one critisizing him now.

Huh?? What does this have to do with the carolina panthers?? I have the utmost respect for them and think they are going to be a very good team in the future, I just find you stating romo rivers and ryan better than eli is just mind blowing. Especially ryan? LOL WTF?

Once again using career ratings to rank current players. Eli has without a doubt played like a top 5 QB THIS season.

Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Stafford, and arguably Romo and Cam all had better seasons. Eli played well but I don't think he was without a doubt top 5.

Meh... I'd rank Newton ahead of him THIS season... and that isn't me being a homer...

Cam did what he did in his rookie season, with a tremendous amount of pressure put on his shoulders, and with one solid WR.

I can't say a lot because like I said earlier, Eli still has one game left to play (that matters), although I would bet that he won't be winning this one.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
