1/24/2011 Bobcats v Knicks

Interesting game considering the 'Cats beat NY in NY earlier this year (1/3 of their victories)

With Aug and Maggette out the 'Cats starting line-up looks like this:

PG - Kemba Walker

SG - Gerald Henderson

SF - Derrick Brown

PF - Tyrus Thomas

C - Byron Mullens

Hopefully Kemba can make the most of his opportunity. Who knows, if he plays well this week with Augustin out, he might play his way to more min. at point guard. If anything Kemba starting gives enough reason to watch. I for one, will watch anyway.

GO CATS!

:cheers2:

Believe it or not..Matt Carroll is probably the worst player on this team. That is saying alot with a team with Gana Diop on it. At least Diop will rebound and get a block occasionally. Tonight is another reason I think the 'Cats go BPA in draft.

This team has a lot of WTF. Kemba got points, but didn't run the offense very well (understandable for a rookie), henderson played well, but had zero help really. Mullens was quiet. I thought with the poor interior defense that Silas would have gone to Biz earlier...

IDK, just another lopsided loss. At least there is the draft to look forward to.

Henderson's 6th straight night with 15+ points. He is the real lone bright spot right now. Sorry to be a debbie downer.

That was just pathetic...I had high hopes for this season coming in. I've only been to one game this season (the December game against the Heat) and I loved what I saw from the team. We had fire and almost beat one of the best teams in the conference, but since then we've fallen apart. Paul is a good coach, we've got decent talent on the team, I'm not saying we should be setting the world on fire but damn we should be doing more than this poo.

    • I'll say 6. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition and will do more to help the defense than anyone. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole there. For all the hype surrounding Sanders and Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
    • 2010 was worse. Not much worse but worse.
    • Lol since 2017 the Panthers are 47-85,    Also since 2017 the Giants are 40-91-1   Lol
