Well if you have accepted Thursday night, what about every other night of the week? Screw the players and the shortened weeks, in my madden game the all you have to do is turn off fatigue and injuries. This is America where we get what we want all the time. I NEED my NFL on Thursdays now. <----that doesn't sound like you have been duped?

Maybe I'm a purist, maybe I don't like corporations exploiting their market for something that used to be offered to everyone on basic cable, save for Monday Night Football (which used to be on NBC).

BTW I'm not referring solely to Panthers games.

TL;DR You are allowing the NFL to tie your hands, by only showing more games on an exclusive network. If they get away with this, what is the next step?

No one is forcing you to watch. I like football, and no I wouldn't mind watching it every night if it came on. ( I was joking BTW). And everyone gets at least 4 games per week for free. I'm not that deep into this like you. But it's your right.

You will not get any NFLN games EXCEPT!!!when Carolina plays on Thursday night.....FOX or CBS will then air that same game. NFLN will air it on a channel you don't get......but FOX or CBS will ALSO air the game for you to watch. They will only do that if Carolina is playing.

Check with MY Fox WGHP or WFMY TV Greensboro.

No. I just talked with my local FOX sportscaster. Apparently JR pays for the "Local market" channel in Charlotte. That is just out of reach from here. Do you have anyone else out of the Charlotte area you can check with? Only TV channels in Charlotte are considered the Panthers local market. Most of NC and SC are Panther geographacical area fore Network programing. If there is a Panthers game on FOX or CBS, yes indeed we get it. But not NFLN or ESPN.

Every NFL game doesn't have to be broadcast for free. Yeah, it is nice.....but that doesn't mean they can't go to cable.

In reality, I would wager TWC probably will buckle soon. No reason for them not to offer this channel. They are just having a pissing match w/ the NFL.

Yes. There is a JPs nearby. They have "pay" tv I am sure so they can have the games on. (Fot the tab i could likely have pay TV myself).

the bolded means that FOX or CBS will broadcast Carolina if they play on the NFLN on Thursday night. It means those like YOU who don't get the cable channel that is airing it can watch that one game. They will air it for you.....but not for someone living in Tenn who doesn't have CBS or Fox air all the Panther games on Sunday.

You will never see an ESPN game or any NFLN game not featuring Carolina. Has only had to be done once b/c Carolina has only been on the NFLN once.

I think a 25 mile radius. I'm currently in the Raleigh area. I didn't get the Dolphins/Panthers NFL network game from a couple years ago.

I had to look for terrible online streams that were 15 minutes behind.

I have people up there......you guys get the Carolina broadcasts. Simple and plain. Only one time has this ever come into play for you or me....it was done however. It is done all over the country when the NFLN steals a game though.
