To draft time the more I love the idea of janoris Jenkins becoming a panther. I hope we select a playmaker on defense. And I personally haven't got to watch Jenkins a lot but I've heard and seen nothing but good things from him on a football perspective. Maybe has off the field issues.

Even if we don't take Him, I just hope we have a playmaker on the defense come April. Wouldn't mind a safety or a DE. But I'm in man love with Jenkins. I know we probably have to trade back or taking him at 8/9 would be a reach. But never the less I hope to see him in a panthers uniform. How much do u guys like him. Or who do u want with our first round selection

While he was at UF, he was better than Haden. Haden, I believe, had more INTs but Janoris was able to shut down his side of the field better than Haden. Haden's measurables might be better but Janoris possesses better cover skills. No one knows if he will be as good as Joe Haden in the NFL but if you are basing it off what you have seen from college he will be just as good, if not, better.

scott wright did a good interview with him.

excerpt:

Scott Wright: I know you seriously considered going pro last year as a junior. What type of feedback did you get from the NFL at that time and what were the key factors in your decision to go back to school?

Janoris Jenkins: I got some good news if I decided to come out. I was looking at it that I just had surgery and my dad, my mentor and I had a talk and we all decided that I would come back, get my degree and finish my four years at Florida. I decided to go to North Alabama because I didn't want to run from my problems. I had done things that I wanted to face up to as a man and I wanted to go to North Alabama to learn, fight adversity and show everyone that I'm not the kid they say I am.

.

Scott Wright: How would you describe your game to someone who has never seen you play? What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Janoris Jenkins: I'm quick, fast, explosive, great ball skills. I've got a feel for the ball. I have a tendency of playing off coverage and peaking into the backfield too much so I feel I have to work on that.

.

.

.

Scott Wright: How would you describe your personality and is it different on the field?

Janoris Jenkins: It's not different. I have the same attitude on and off the field, but on the field you have to take it to a different level at one point. You gotta stay in their face and you gotta talk trash. Do anything to distract them.

.

.

.

Scott Wright: What were you hoping to prove to scouts at the Senior Bowl?

Janoris Jenkins: That I'm a great kid. I'm respectful, humble. That the decisions I made in the past are behind me and that I made stupid mistakes as a kid.

Scott Wright: Do you have any goals in mind for the NFL Draft?

Janoris Jenkins: I'm just trying to get in the NFL. I just want one opportunity.

    • JMO, I think it is lame as hell to publicly give up on the team and then crawl back when they win a few games. Like, how can you run a PANTHERS PODCAST and then give up on it during the season?    Yes, you can argue the Panthers prior to Week 3 hadn't done anything to deserve fanfare, but nobody made them run a Panthers Podcast.  They chose to.  So stick with it.  Instead they gave up and did so publicly.  Which is well within their right - but you can't then turn around and bring it back the same season.
    • The crazy thing about football is it’s a team sport. But one position can make or break the game. And one of the best ways in doing that is by not giving the ball away and being able to run at 4-5 yard clips. Throw in a couple passes and next thing you know you’re in the red zone. Playing this way limits possessions to other(more dynamic) QBs too. And if your defense plays well that could equate to between 4 and six series. If you’re running that efficient, you can say, split the offensive production with the run or the pass. So by attempt byce accounted for his half of the yardage and Rico did too. Rico also managed to punch it in at the goal line. And you gotta give it to our oline and they’re running blocking and that’s without TMO! so the truth is, Canales and management figured out how to use Bryce’s strengths to compliment this run game to cover up his weaknesses in a way that is efficient. And our defense showed improvement against pretty formidable opponent the week after andy dalton gave it to buffalo. They are putting winning football on the field more often, and we are slowly becoming better each week. I hope they can keep it up.
    • If only the Eagles collapse. I dont think it will happen though. I hate them as much. Ill root for the Chiefs if they play the Eagles this time around in the Superbowl. I hate those guys.
