Can anybody recall when his contract will be up? I haven't heard much about him lately. He was supposed to be a big help on the OL until he broke his ankle during a pre-season game. Hopefully he's all healed and ready to go next season. OL depth would be great.

Scheduled to make 550,000 with a 100,000 workout bonus. If he is cut there is less than a 200,000 cap hit. Probably will be brought to camp since he is cheap. haven't heard how the ankle is doing though.

That's good we have him cheap. I know everybody had high hopes for him. Let's hope he can stay healthy and provide solid depth.

Garry Williams is arguably our best backup LT not named Wharton. He probably won't start, which made me think the signing was curious UNLESS we are anticipating cutting Travelle Wharton ($5 million cap savings). This is not to suggest that will happen, but TW will be offered a restructured deal at a much lower rate. If he refuses, he will be cut--My guess, based on the cap, his performance (poor) in pass protection last year, and the contracts we have on the books right now. SO why sign Williams? If you lose Wharton, you still have emergency depth at LT.

In my opinion, we have 2--Gross and Kalil. The rest are either either liabilities or hopefuls.

Correct me if I am wrong, but was he not the starting RG when he was injured?

He can play anywhere. I think it will take an injury, but you could be right.

All I know about him is I remember seeing at Kentucky and would have never thought that he would be playing on an NFL roster one day. Then again, I said the same thing about Steve Johnson when he was at Kentucky.

I played a pick up game of b-ball once with G-Will and Corvey Irvin a couple years ago before G-Will ever got in a game. Will was a better baller hands down. Irvin didnt move out the lane... I don't think his knee ever healed. Garry was hittin threes and drivin the lane pretty well.

So I was a fan of Garry's after that. I watched him all season and and yes I'm pretty sure he was starting at RG and doing very well until his ankle injury. I hope he can come back and still be good.
