Stephen Curry in 2013?

I was just reading an article and they were talking about Curry becoming a free agent in 2013. Could you see Curry wanting to come to his hometown to help become a building block for the Cats?

It's also questionable whether such a player would be quick to join a team so seemingly far from contending for a championship. Jordan said in the preseason he'd love to find that rare player who would throw Charlotte's hopes on his back the way Jordan once did in Chicago. Elite players of late seem more concerned with migrating to teams already packed with talent.

The 2012 free-agent class could include Orlando center Dwight Howard and New Jersey point guard Deron Williams, both perennial All-Stars (although it's hard to imagine either coming to Charlotte). The Bobcats could also bank their cap room until the summer of 2013, when players such as Charlottean Stephen Curry (Golden State) could hit the market.

That would really be great! He is a down to earth kid, he doesn't seem to be a typical spoiled ass NBA player. I could see him coming here...

Why wouldn't you see him coming to his hometown?

Because this isnt a winning team. He already plays for a losing team. If he were to make a move, it'd be laterally. I dont think the Bobcats can expect to draw any big name FAs unless a miracle occurs and they overpay. It just isnt realistic at this point. Our "star" will come via the draft.

That would be awesome, he would be a great help to a team in desperate need of scoring and outside shooting and a huge draw in the area. Only way it could happen realistically though is if we hit with our draft picks the next couple of years

This would be incredible. I guess it all depends on the direction in which our franchise is headed at the time, plus how much he really wants to be at home and around his family so they can see him play all home games.

In that scenario...does Hendo come off the bench or do you play him as an undersized SF and have a small 1-2-3? Would a frontcourt of Biz and Anthony Davis justify being able to have that small combo?
