Antonio Garay on Boomer and Carton this AM..

I agree. As much as I like Poe I think signing Garay would be one less hole to fill. We still need a FS, CB, LB (I love Thomas Davis, but it would be foolish to not have a backup plan this year), and a better DE (Hardy is serviceable at best).

I agree 100%.

Rivera has praised Fua and McClain on many occasions....sayign that they played well given the circumstances (no offseason, no OTA's, no vet leadership at DT). They shoudl have been in the rotation....not having to be everything.

Adding yet another rookie DT to the mix gives us very little benefit. Add a veteran like Garay and work the young guys in on a rotational basis.

Our coverage sucked...need a FS and a #2 corner (not sure what they think of Hogan). Not only a #2 corner, but a #3 and #4 corner. In the pass happy NFL, you are seeing more 3-4 wides with athletics TE's thrown in. You must be able to go 4 CB's deep and have a stud FS. We can't do either.

Next, look at DE. We have CJ (legit stud)...Hardy (servicable)...Applewhite/Keiser (gives you a little pass rush). he could desperately use another big-time DE to book end with CJ.

Next, look at LB. Beason is coming off an achilles injury (I think/hope) he will be fine.....TD is coming off a 3rd ACL tear (don't have much hope here)...and we have Anderson. We have very little good LB depth now in a scheme that requires it.

Then throw in OT with a LT that is not getting any younger...and a RT that can't stay on the field.

I just truly believe that the focus of this draft will NOT be at the DT position.

I am anxious for FA to start, as it may give evidence to which way this franchise is going to go in the draft.

lol you're such a stupid poo

how do you ignore the injuries we've had at DT like the last 3 years and then talk about the injury question marks at RT and linebacker? Both Fua and McClain ended up on IR and Edwards didn't make it a fuging week into training camp before his triceps ripped and you're like "OMG look at all the other positions that got decimated by injuries whoa".

"Rivera said Fua and McClain did sum good things thurrrr" - gee I didn't realize coaches don't just say things as words of encouragement and really are being candid about how good of a job they did "given the circumstances durrrr" while they were doing a horrible job maintaining gap control. Of course, the same arguments were used against drafting Cam Newton last year "What good is another rookie going to do/JC did good given the situation he was in", and it was a poo argument then, and it is now. It doesn't prove for a second that they'd do better with more favorable conditions.

I would rip apart more of your post but I really don't think it's worth it to dissolve this dumpster fire of spelling errors you've written up any further.

you're the epitome of this franchise's childlike optimism when it comes to continually bringing back players that end up on IR year after year with high expectations

I thank you sir.

Is there anything, Panther related, that you are happy, or even hopeful, with?

I've always been a homer. Comes with the territory, or at least I used to think it did. Us die-hards could care less if you are on board with us or not. Heck, until the interwebs came along, we were left to our own devices to share our fandom. And look, now I have you.

You really are a raging .... aren't you. It is not my money, I am not in the decision making prossess, I am not involved in any of the day to day operations as it concerns the Panthers.

What I CAN do is root. And by Zod I enjoy the heck out of it. Even when you try and belittle me, I love the interaction. Used to have to go to the bars to argue my teams, now I can do this damm near every day.

Being a homer, at least for me, is all about the information. Give me info, or give me death. The more info I possess the smarterer I becaome, right?

Ain't no chance of ruining my giddy. And I didn't even proofread this. And GOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, one last thing Mr. Smarty Pants. Davis had Anderson doing his surgery this time. This very well may be the difference maker as it comes to Davis making a return.

lol

so just because I think our DTs are the weakest position on the team and the next in line to address that makes me negative?

Oh this is great I've got a super fan here I better get on my knees and bow now before he tells me about all the team paraphernalia he's lined his attic/mancave/pit where he puts his murder victims in with

Then stop posting, as you think your opinion is worthless, and so do I.

If you want to just root then tune in every sunday, wave your growl towel around in the living room and knock picture frames off the table until the woman of the house brow beats you and tells you to pick it up

The concept of somebody giving you information is analogous to giving an old person a calculator and telling them to add 2 + 2, and giving up trying to show them how to use it after they rip the batteries out in sheer confusion.

do you know anything about ACL surgery, even basic things, such as the success rate goes down with each surgery? No, but then again you were probably one of those people that still thought Morgan was going to light up the league in 2006.

this may be too dark a story for you pollyanna boy (might want to turn your batman nightlight on and clench your sippy cup for this one) but Davis's career as we know it is finished. He *might* be able to contribute in a reduced role but it's nearly impossible to expect him to return to pre-2009 form.

What makes you a negative nancy is the fact the you offer no insight, only whines and bitches. Offer a solution. "A complaint without a solution is just a bitch." You sir, are good at this.

You forgot the period. Just because you own no Panther gear does not mean you are any less a Panther fan. We don't care if you don't own stuff.

Ouch, this hurt. Meanie.

Forgot another period there Mr. Raging. Got to admit that one is kinda cute. Did that happen to you, which is why you brought it up?

If they don't know how to use a calculator, how could they get the batteries out?

Hoping a player returns is something fans do. But I guess that is a concept that is lost on you. Mr. negative says once you are injured, you never return. Funny, funny man.

I stand rebuked. Not one negative thing in that post. I do know this Mr. Raging Boil. Dr. Anderson is considered the best. If he had done the surgery first, who knows? Well maybe you of course. But the rest of us mere mortals are left to ponder what could have been.

Negative Nancy thinks our DTs suck. There is insight right out of the funny pages. You sir are funny. Please keep it up.

Good times. And GOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
