The Broncos may show interest in free agent J.P. Losman if they don't draft a quarterback this weekend, a source tells the Bills' website.

Bills writer Chris Brown says Denver has had interest in Losman "for some time," but it cooled after Chris Simms was signed. The Panthers have also shown interest. Losman, and Rex Grossman, should find work after the draft.

Davis should be there, he has a great arm.. just not that smart.

i think the same could be said for a lot of NFL players..but since davis has a documented learning disability..a lot of teams will pass on him..the team i have seen show interest is the colts..but we may take him BPA..in the later rounds..how hard is it to learn to hand the ball off..and play action.

For what it is worth a learning ability doesn't mean you are stupid. In fact by definition kids and adults with specific learning issues typically have average IQ. He likely had alot more trouble in the classroom then he had on the football field. Most folks with reading difficulties are right brain learners which usually means he bes learns when information is presented visually and in a hands on fashion. Football is all about diagrams, watching film and conversations between coaches and players. He gets to practice certain looks and do things over and over. He will have no problem with film and play diagraming which actually plays into his preferred learning style. He may struggle reading pages of directions and text and might struggle with a lengthy manual but will have no problem with plays that are diagramed or using terminology heavy with numbers.

I saw an interview with his coach who indicated that he had little problem with the playbook or schemes they were running. If he falls low enough he might be a steal for someone.

No but not handling the issue properly can make it worse. My husband is dyslexic and his supposedly great school system decided to keep passing him along instead of helping him. It's a shame when that happens. It can really screw with a kid's head too.

i was a victim of public education as well. my "learning disability" wasn't handled correctly all through school and it wasn't until my second attempt at college and well after i had to settle for my GED that i was able find success and a program willing to work with me to help me get it figured out. once i did, though, not only did i graduate, i stuck around and got my MBA.

people who are considered to have a learning disability usually just need to figure things out a bit differently but once they do they have an incredible chance to be successful. davis wouldn't/shouldn't be thrown into the starting role on any team, just like 95% of rookie QBs. They need to be staying on the sidelines carrying a clipboard and learning for a couple years. that would be much more than enough time for him to get things figured out.

i guarantee you would search long and hard to find someone who would work harder to make sure he knew what he was doing and could get it right.

Awesome story, congrats!

You were definitely swimming more upstream since you went for something that was even harder for you to do with your LD.

This Davis kid would probably be better off not being drafted and having his agent get him onto a team with a really good offensive staff teaching wise who could be patient with him and bring him along the way he would need to be.

thanks and i agree with davis. that might be the best situation for him and would give him a pretty good chance of success. low risk-high reward situation.

whoever picks him up i'm going to have a lot of respect for....i just hope it isn't the cowturds, pats, or one of the other NFCS teams.

      I’m an optimist thru and thru. I love any win this team can muster, and Bryce did what he could to keep the team in it, but he’s why the team was out of it to begin with.  I like the guy, but he is not… he’s just not it… and I was swayed by the way he finished last season, but his physical limitations will never be overcome. A one arm tackle stopped him in his tracks en route for 6, among several other plays where an even average starter in the league succeeds.  A franchise QB is supposed to be his own cheat code. Bryce needs a cheat code dude, that is not him, to win. Chuba CARRIED (literally) his ass last season. Thielen bailed him out EVERY game he played in last season. Today: Rico turned in one of the best games in franchise history, Tet was unguardable and put up at least 100 yards on his own (PI yards included),  and the defense basically pitched a shutout after going down big so they could beat one of the worst teams in the NFL.

      Rico 10000% saved Bryce Young from being benched for the Dallas game.  The way that game was going there was going to be no way to trot Bryce out next week at home if it kept going like it did.  Bryce probably is safe from bench risk until the next home and home presents itself.    He can’t be playing bad going into that next Atl game and then lay an egg in it.
