Mullens has been solid offensively, averaging 8.9 points, but Silas needs more than the 4.3 rebounds he provides and he doesn’t consistently hold his ground under the rim.

Silas said over the remaining 19 games he’d like to experiment with playing Mullens and Biyombo together. However, even that could be problematic, since Silas is wondering whether the 6-foot-9, 245-pound Biyombo can hold up physically long-term against a steady diet of bigger opponents.

“Basically, I see ‘Biz’ as a power forward,’’ Silas said. “We don’t have anybody who can be a center for the long haul.’’

This really makes me think that they are going to target that "long term" center in the draft. IF they don't get the #1 I still think they have to go center unless you make a blockbuster trade, which I don't see.

I'm a little iffy on Drummond, not sure I would draft him in the top 4. Maybe if we traded down and he wasn't the only player selected in the 1st by us.

They may have to. It reminds me of 2004. They wanted Dwight Howard like everybody else did but had to settle for Emeka. Nothing against Emeka he was a good player and maybe he was worth the #2 that year but he still is not great like Howard.

Silas obviously wants a center. Drummond may be a Roy Hibbert type, starts out slow and due to his massive size, can start to contribute. I'd take Roy Hibbert right now for the Bobcats. They may have to take Drummond.

Even if Biyombo isn't a "long term" center, he can definitely play the position for long stretches and against certain teams. He gives you the flexibility to go after different positions in the draft because you dont really need to find someone to play center full time, you could always just find a decent center later in free agency or through a trade. IMO the team should look for a guy like Perkins or Dalembert who can give you some minutes in the post if you want to run a big lineup but dont play big minutes consistently

Do they think that Davis is worth trading into the number 1 if they don't get it?

They have to get the best player in the draft period. Is Anthony Davis that player? Is he worth it to the Bobcats because that could turn out to be the question

not a drummond fan, he doesnt play hard at all, if not davis give me MKG, T robinson, or sullinger.

I'd love to make a run for hibbert this FA and look at MKG, P jones, t jones or barnes....

I'm sure in Drummonds mind he could be in the NBA already. When you are a potential top five pick you may want to be fresh for the next level. Personally I like what I see in his game. He can run the floor, has a nice short range touch near the basket, has some good post moves, plays above the rim well, rocks the rim when he dunks.

Nothing should motivate a player more than being drafted top 10 in the NBA so I won't worry about his motivation. In a world where these big guys are few I say grab one! 6'11" 270lbs 19yrs old and could still grow an inch or so!? The guy is going top five regardless. If he's there at #2 or #3 or #4 you've got to get him.

If there was no Anthony Davis this guy would be the top big man coming out.

UCONN didn't make it the Andre Drummond show. If they did you and I would have more player specific highlights. The guy has a fierceness when he gets close to the rim. There is no Boris Diaw in this kid. .

He's going to get millions anyway and that is not for being a lazy prospect. He blocks, he rebounds, he can score in the post, he plays defense. He is also athletic for a guy that size so what more do you want from your center?

He is Bismacks age. The kid is coming out a freshmen and going top 5. I think those that are slamming him need to look at his individual game, not how many touches he got as a freshman.

      Overall, fine.  Wish we landed a guy to pair with Lloyd but I presume this means they're giving Trevin one final year to put it together (72nd overall 2 years back).  Flashed potential year 1, had a dud last year.   R1: Freeling LT - Great value and a need; landed our new long term LT that could end up starting off the bat.  Icky had a terrible injury and is not playing in his contract year.  Walker is what he is on a 1-year rental, who even knows how he fits. You get premier OTs early if you can find em' and he has what you want.  I thought he could have gone as high as 6/CLE pre-draft, so am a big fan of the selection.  Looking at this class, he's one of the guys at the top that is like "okay that's the LT".  Others have this right/left or G/T type discussion about them.  Freeling is an LT.   R2: Hunter NT - We didn't really have anyone replacing A'Shawn's snaps in our rotation.  Wharton & Brown aren't 3 downers so adding Hunter to the mix fills a big void. I dug deep into S and LB this draft so was a bit to zeroed in - In recognize the value and impact add in the trenches. R3: Brazzell WR - Intriguing.  Given our history, I don't really want to place any expectations here, but a different style weapon for Bryce. I pretty much expect a WR drafted yearly with this regime. Other notables.. Hecht C - These are the type of rounds where starting centers have been found.  We got a starter for this year, but Hecht seems pretty capable and I like it for a long term find.  SOLID AF.  Wheatley S - A pretty well regarded safety prospect.  And we see it every year (like this one) safeties get hyped, people think they may go sooner than expected, and the league reminds them how it rolls.  Plenty of nice safeties have been found in the 4th-6th in recent years.  Big fan of Wheatley. Can't say I know enough about Lee or the others.

      I'm excited. I love situations like this when you could potentially find a diamond in the rough on the cheap. And you know guys like this are gonna put in the work and desire way more than others to be great.
