Please Reassure Me Our Fo Is Gonna Trade J.stew

With the signing of Tolbert, the FO has to trade J.Stew right?!?! For a 2nd or 3rd round pick or another player.

It would be stupid to keep 3 starting caliber backs on a roster when we have other wholes / needs that can be filled by moving one of the 3.

Hurney, please find a way to get a 2nd round pick for Stew!

I would like to keep Jstew.

Why would you wanna keep Stew when we have Williams and Tolbert. Both quality starting backs in their own right when we have pressing holes / needs that can be filled with moving one of the 3 RB's which if occurred would be Stew.

Keep..they said they want to keep him...most likely nobody will deal the big pick unless he negotiates a deal moving forward...wouldn't do that now with us, so he does it for team X? Doubtful IMO, unless the dream scenario presents itself (Seattle). So you can have him and franchise year two in trade for a second...if we accepted. Can't see it...

The browns need a RB and we need the #4 spot to get clairborne. Hopefully the FO can connect the dots

Id rather have Coples over Clairborne. Im not big on drafting CB's in the top 10 unless our DE, LT, and QB positions are locked down by prow bowl players.

Tolbert can play RB. If im not mistaken he had like 1000 yards at SD.

Still have Williams on top.

Would be stupid not to trade Stew if we can get a 2nd or a 3rd.

We have some pressing needs that need to be filled. Stew is too good to be a 2nd string RB imo

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
