Help Me Find A Bandwagon

Hey guys and what few ladies we have if any. I know we have quite some time to go until the draft reaches us. But I'm confused now man. I've been on so many bandwagons. I keep jumping off though. I'm too indecisive. Here's the list that I'd like to have

- Quinton Coples

- Fletcher Cox

- Luke Kuechly

- Dre Kirkpatrick

I have a few more but they wouldnt necessarily be considered an option for us at 9.

But like I was saying, if your a fan of one of these guys then help me buy into what u like about them and why I should jump on that wagon. And if u have somebody else you'd like to have a 9 other than who I listed then sell me on that too.

I just can't make up my mind anymore. I need the help of fellow idiots. I mean friends

Some room has opened up on the Brockers bandwagon :) Of your list though, only Coples is worth us taking at #9 in my opinion. I like Cox too and wouldn't be unhappy if we took him, but I look at him as part of the "if we trade back" crowd. Other than Brockers, the realistic choices at #9 that I'd prefer are Claiborne, Blackmon or Coples.

Kuechly is talented enough, but not enough impact from a 4-3 LB for a top 10 pick (only one I can think of worth his pick is Von Miller and he's a pass rusher, not a traditional 4-3 LB). Rolando McClain (good player, not worth top 10 pick though), Aaron Curry (no explanation needed), Keith Rivers, Jarod Mayo (same deal as McClain), Ernie Sims, AJ Hawk all top 10 taken non-pass rushing LBs in the past few drafts, not 1 worth the pick. The closest exception to the rule I've seen is Willis, he was taken #11 and I'd agree he'd have been worth a top 10. Kuechly is no Willis.

Kirkpatrick would be an extreme reach.

Well u guys are definitely convincing sales reps. Besides mo clay falling I've narrowed it down to 3 cox coples and dre k. Out of those I think cox and coples are the realist possiblities. I just don'tike taking a dt. Mainly bc I've never seen a DT that was dominant or was a good pass rusher in a panther uniform since jenkins. I'm beginning will never find a stud at dt so I'm scared about that but I think cox can be that guy. Hell I think I just found my new wagon. I'm on the cox wagon guys.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
