This Years #1 Draft Choice Is Up In The Air.

Recommended Posts

I will cry if we draft Floyd. Smith, LaFell, Gettis, Olsen, DWill, Stewart, Cam, Tolbert. Give me a defensive player or even Decastro before Floyd.

I wouldn't cry. At first I'd be like, really? Then just realize that Floyd is a very good WR prospect that can replace Smitty. While Smith plays the slot all day and the young guns are on the outside. The offense would become very lethal.

Truth be told, I'd rather trade down to the mid teens and get a 2nd and or 3rd round pick to further bolster this team.

The combinations are astounding guys.

Coples-Fleener

Ingram-Worthy

Cox-Hill

DeCastro-Jenkins

Mix them up and you could potentially get two 1st day starters with our first picks. Honestly this defense is 1-2 players away from being solid again. Our core is coming back from injury, Edwards is healthy again despite the fact people don't think he's going to do much. Our young DT's have 2 years of experience and the full benefit of OTAs, mini camp among other things. Also the other DT's that came in weren't too bad towards the end of the year. We might have gotten something and not realize it yet with Nebblett and Shirley. It's kinda scary to think what this defense can become with a few pieces added and what's even scarier is that Rivera is the mad scientist behind this.

WhY do some of you have so many question about Fletcher Cox?

He played in the best league in college. So he played against top competition.

His combine and game tape are really good.

He can play all the Dline position.

UT, NT, DE, yeah, that's pretty diverse. Coming from the SEC makes his case of being drafted at #9 stronger. Add the fact that the rookie pay scale is lower and he's definitely a top choice for this pick.

The top 3 I'd like to see besides Claiborne dropping and trading down.. Cox, Ingram, Floyd.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
