2012 Masters

Pulling for Tiger.

Heres why:

Last year I bought 4 tickets to Sunday's final round to the PGA Championship. They were $90 each, I plan to sell at least 2.

If he wins, there will be a ton of momentum going into the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island, SC. Which means more people will be following it, and thus, the ticket prices will get much higher! And the more people = more revenue for our local economy!

Sweet, will do...I was gonna volunteer, but it was like $300 or something silly like that to get the outfit.

Yeah, it was like $225, but you get a shirt and hat and access to all 4 days even when you're not working... so we figured it was worth it. Plus I get inside the ropes too...

Same with Quail Hollow except it's only $85, this will be our 4th year marshalling there and that is a blast. Plus at QH, they give you $25 food vouchers per day you work too, so with the cost of the "uniform" you are pretty much reimbursed.

I'd LOVE to marshal the Masters, and we checked on it, but the only way to get on there is to know someone who already works there and be recommended.... maybe one day.

PGA is August 9-12, 2012 and it is on the Ocean Course.

If you're gonna come down Hawk, let me know.

My other line of thought on the PGA was that once I go to it... the only major I will have not been to is the British Open... so I may be buying plane tickets to England next year...

    • We have without question one of the worst QB rooms in the league and your key concern is people having the audacity to be talking about it lol.
    • I saw this list crossing the screen waiting for any Panther.  Chubba, JC Horn and Hunt.  It was a crime to see so many that were not as good as these three.  ESPN is garbage anyhow.
    • Bingo!  We are on the same page.  Our scouting department was average under Hurney, but at least we hit hit it out of the park with our first rounders.  Our scouting department under Tepper's reign with his revolving doors of HCs and GMs has sucked because the scouts largely stay in place.  One or two may change every few years, but the core philosophy stays in place and I believe that to be heavily RAS influenced.    Looking the part of a football player (physical/athletic measurables) vastly outweighs putting on the tape and deep diving into his stats with our scouting department. Until we change that mindset, this team is doomed. Again, how many of us Huddlers (none of us are professional scouts) wanted McConkey over Legette? Yet, we went with XL.  Why?  RAS score, pure and simple.  If you put on the tape and look at the numbers without taking RAS into account, McConkey was the clear choice.
