The "id Be Happy With Any Of These Guys" Thread

We have got to come away from this draft with quality starting caliber players on the DL and secondary.

The DT position is pretty deep this year with quality players. Im not sure who who exactly is the best of this group but would be happy with any of these players. I like Brockers potential which is why i list him number one.

1) Brockers

2) Cox

3) Worthy

4) Still

5) Thompson

There is only a few DE's id want in this draft. Id be happy any of these players.

1) Coples

2) Nick Perry

3) Jones

4) Mercilus (more of an OLB, but could play DE)

CB position is pretty deep imo with quality players that can be had in the second. Some drop off atfer Hayward but I think Flemming and Bentley have nice potential and are upgrades over Capt.

1) Jenkins

2) Claiborne

3) Kirkpatrick

4) Gilmore

5) Hosley

6) Hayward

7) Flemming

8) Bentley

The OLB is also a very important need this year with all the injuries.

1) Kuechly

2) David

3) Brown

4) Wagner

5) Irvin

6) McClellin

I have a name for you to research as a WLB. The reason you have not considered him much is because he is listed as a 3-4 ILB. He ran a 4.45 or so at the combine and actually looked better on the outside than inside. He can cover (man, mostly) and rush the passer very well. Takes good angles and is a thumper. His name: Mychal Hendricks, LB Cal. Tell me what you think. (Has a You Tube of his game vs USC that shows his versatility).

Minnifield is too slow. 4.65 forty.

Do not like Johnson's game tape.

I should prob put Dennard on there, but for some reason I feel like he is gonna be a bust.

I can understand Minnifield, Johnson is a decent player, and Dennard looks like he's going to be a very, very good player.

What about Josh Robinson?

Nobody talking about him for some reason but the guy was the fastest LB at the combine and can play ILB and Will LB.

I still can't figure out how you have Brockers over Cox?

Cox is stronger Faster and can play multiple position on the dline.

Better at rushing the passer, something that hurt our DEs last year because there was always a pocket for the QB to step up into. Both have tremendous upside.

6'0" 240 and runs like a deer while hitting like a truck. I would be happy with him in the 2nd. He can play WLB and back up Beason.

Not to mention just as good as Brockers as a run defender. His speed alone will command double teams and holding call. Plus Cox is violent with his hands has a nasty streak and a better motor then Brockers.

    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
