Dont let these guys scare you. Youre a freshman, take classes that interest you or youre curious about. Figure out what you are interested in and learn about those things. Dont worry about choosing a major yet, it doesnt matter. Explore YOUR interests both inside of class and out... F*ck what everyone else thinks you should be doing. many people try to justify their own poor decisions by convincing others that they were necessary and by pushing others to make the same decisions.

Slow down, listen to yourself, dont worry so much, surround yourself with good people.

The classes he is taking, he at least needs to be getting decent grades in. I'm sure things have changed, but usually schools only allow you to retake a couple of classes for better grades. In north Carolina, Not sure about other states, those grades follow you from college to college. You flunk out of ECU then enroll in WCU, those courses and grades follow you.

If you flunk out of college, at least think about ECPI. Or something along those lines. Trades schools are better than no school at all. IMO

If this is solely about career direction, the best way to find direction is by discovering sh*t...so Philly is pretty much right. You need to take the summer and go somewhere to figure yourself out mate. Meet people in different areas, network, and it will come. That drive for a great job isn't always just there...it needs to be pushed by you

Dude you need to put the blinders on big time and just pound out the girls and your classes. You have a great opportunity right in front of you and it sounds like your bored of school work, unsure that college will get you where you want to be. What made you pick your first major? Why did you switch? I think it's perfectly fine to pursue a degree that your passionate about for your undergrad. Thats the key word in all this, passion. Instead of questions you need to have ideas. This is your time to go to school, have all the tools in front of you and come up with the billion dollar plan. Otherwise, once you graduate your gonna be horribly satisfied working 9-5 entry level work like everyone else.

"I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me."- Hunter S. Thompson

In all seriousness, you are a freshman. You have the rest of your life to worry. Work hard, then play hard. Go to the library, don't get on the Huddle, and get your homework done, then go get fuged up (within reason). This summer just find a job. You can start worrying about internships after your sophomore year.
