At this point his Fan boys are willing to bench Cam if it got him a spot on the team.

when Beason says he likes Luke at the 9 spot.....that means Beason believes he can come in and start.

I mean when the leader of our D and a LB says Luke could be the guy.....it kinda blows your whole fanboy thing out of the water. Kinda makes you the blind hater

If he said the same thing about a player you disagree with taking, chances are you would say noone pays him to evaluate players.

If a DE suggests drafting a DE.....that means something about the talent level of the prospect. You rarely see guys at this level encourage teams to bring in competition at there position. Simple and plain?

Players generally support drafting other areas and hitting FA in other areas. Listen to any former player talk about it.....last thing they normally want to see are new bodies that play their position

In a division with great tight ends and running backs who can catch the ball like Sproles, linebacker is very important position. Given that we have always been bad against tight ends you would think we would figure it out .

I agree. It's all going to depend on how the draft ends up at #9. I'm coming around on Keuchly because the more I hear (or don't hear) about TD the more it sounds like he is done. I just have a problem drafting a guy who isn't going to start from the beginning..but I guess my problem with Keuchly isn't so much Keuchly as it is that I don't get why we brought TD back if he's done.

he adds nothing to the pass rush and isn't great in coverage. QBs will just sit back there all day as our horrible DLine does nothing and pick apart our secondary.

We'll see how "HORRIBLE" the DLine is with Edwards in there. The DLine made strides towards the end of the season. I expect them to be "average" this year, not "horrible".

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
