Jonanthan Stewart or Joe Flacco? If you had hindsight.

Joe wouldn't have started, developed behind Jake, you're at pick 13 again, trade down and take Joe Flacco at the ravens spot or stay with Stewart who could have been replaced by another RB in round 2 or 3 (pick from the Ravens via move up trade).

I'm unphased, i wouldnt mind flacco but im perfectly fine with stew, just thought it would be an interesting question if we had 20/20 hindsight

We already had a speed guy. I'd still take Stewart, mainly cause I just don't know about Flacco's longevity.

Stewart is a speed guy as well... Dude can fly. Not sure what your point was. lol

however, to answer the question, Stewart all day long... It's rare to find a guy with his speed and size and character and talent...

franchise QB > franchise RB, but it's still too early to tell

and these comparisons of stewart to the lower round rookies just don't really work. Most of the guys like slaton, forte, and smith didn't split carries and if we drafted them instead I'm positive we wouldn't have the same record we do now.

Slaton, Smith, and Forte simply can't make the kind of impact stewart can to this team. He's a blue chip player.

Neither, Take Otah with 13th and Slaton in the second.

You never thought Slaton would have that good of a year though, be honest. :P IIRC before the draft, you were pretty skeptical of his ability to succeed in the NFL. That said, he was great. I liked watching him run. I think he fits well in Hou.

But your premise I can get behind, OL in the first, RB in the second. A lot of people thought that (esp w/Forte in 2nd). I wonder if they had had a first rounder this year, woud they have taken Brown with it?

I wonder also who would pick on Carolina for going RB and RB in the first with only a few years in between now that Indy just did pretty much the same thing.

i know alot of people will disagree with me but until the philosophy of our offense changes ima strong believer that we dont need a franchise QB to win, we need a top 10-15 QB whos a game manager. and IMO QBs that become franchise QBs in other systems wouldn't become that great in ours because they dont get the opportunities to throw for big numbers. so with that bein said stewart was a better choice IMO

    • Ironic that out of all of the multiple players listed, you zeroed in on Bryce Young and only Bryce Young. No mention of Derrick Brown or Jaycee Horn... Hell, we can even add Icky to the mix but sure... let's laser-focus on Bryce. That's a hell of a mirror for you to run into. 👀 I'm not sure what "wisdom" you think you're imparting to the front office beyond the idea that the being Panthers means that they're destined to suck forever. That doesn't exactly sound like wisdom as much as it sounds like the same relentless doompilling you've been committed to. But sure, let's pretend it's "rational" to condemn a pick after limited rookie action and an injury setback (and that anything less than full-blown pessimism is bootlicking). That's certainly the lighthouse we all need in the storm that you insist is eternal... at least until you and only you, decide it's not. Unlike you, I'm not asking anyone to leave. I'll just keep showing up with facts and context. You're more than welcome to keep showing up with doom and gloom.
    • So you don’t think with his weight down /position more similar to what it was in 2023 he’s capable of 10+sacks? I don’t watch college football so just going off the write ups, like getting the opinions from folks who do
    • I'm excited for Scourton. Even if the sack numbers aren't there right away, he'll contribute and has a certain floor IMO. Would be thrilled if he can turn into a Charles Johnson-type contributor one day. Never a star (though, please do), but reliable and damn good at what he does.
