Dream Day 3

I hope we don't take a QB in this years draft, maybe an UDFA, but we need WR & D. In these late rounds it's not a bad thing to get more than 1 in the same position b/c it's really a craps shoot here (beginning in the 5th). Thomas is a very good player, but I am more concerned about our D right now than before the draft started.

I think it is more important to get a backup QB similar to Cam than people realize. Giving Cam a career back up would be great insurance to have. Clausen isn't going to cut it and DA won't be here long and is a totally different style than Cam. Taking him in the 6th or 7th would be great. Very doubtful to get anything great in those rounds anyways, and we will have to get a QB like Thomas eventually. I think now is the time to do it.

We got to many needs to draft a luxury pick like that.

Esp considering we passed on the DL in the first 2 rounds.

You gotta do your homework and find steals / sleepers that can help this defense.

Tommy Streeter in 4th. 6'5 225lbs and 4.40 40 yard dash. Same measurables as Stephen Hill. Streeter never got a chance in college. Was very limited to few plays. Reminds me of Gettis.

Why do you want to draft a guy who reminds you of someone already on our roster- a young guy at that?

Where he went to school means nothing. NFL scouts are very, very good. If he was a second round talent, he would have gone then.

The grades scouts give mean nothing.

High graded dudes bust all the time while guys with low grades become pro bowlers. People commonly refer to these players as sleepers. You know, the ones scouts / gm's "missed". smh

You look at a guy and see what he brings to the table or what he could potentially bring to the table. Period.

Big 6'4 325 DT that is very athletic in the 7th round ill take ALL day.

Streeter and Gettis are not the same player. One has average WR height, while the other one has elite WR height.

One is a redzone nightmare while the other is not.

wylie, Adams, Hemmingway could be our WR/PR pick, we need a punter which we could get with 6th,7th round pick and I would love to get D thomas as backup.

Ronnell Lewis would be very nice if he does fall to us, if we plan to switch to 3/4 then we will really need him.

I like chapman and he could be worth a 5th round pick.

Depending on hour our front office feels about Martin/Reggie Smith we might draft a safety.

I do love the potential that streeter has but I think we pick a WR that can return picks over him. I also believe Stretter could be a sleeper because the miami offense isnt that good and they can make pretty good NFL players. a 6'5 WR with speed would be nice to have as long as he doesn't have drew carter hands.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
