Well you cant say he never drafts to fill a need that just makes you sound missinformed. What you mean is he never drafts who you want him to draft. Go look at other teams forums, and you will see the same type of things there as you are saying here. No one is perfect so there will be some draft misses, but we have alot of talent on our team that we drafted. If you dont like any of the draft picks hurney has ever made, then why do you like the panthers?

Well you can't make the assumption you've leapt to here, that just makes you sound like you don't comprehend what you read. I don't follow college football enough to know who to draft when or where, therefore I do not have any opinion on who to draft. What I do have is about 50 years of watching football experience to know where a team needs help and where their weak spots were the previous season.

Football Outsiders had Carolina ranked as the #4 overall offense in the league last season (#15 pass and #1 rush)

Look closely at the teams ahead of Carolina and those wo are consistently winning enough games to get to the post-season. Know what they all have in common? Solid, veteran O-lines who have played alongside each other for a few years. Carolina leapt into the #4 spot because of Cam Newton. Just think about how good he and the rest of the entire offense would be if we stopped with the revolving door on the O-line?

Here's the defensive rankings:

oops... #32? #29 against the pass and #32 against the rush. Yeah, I'd say the Panthers need a project O-lineman in the second round...

:D right. Well, I don't think we'll draft a DT, S, TE (Orson Charles?), or QB. We need a CB badly and there is still good options at 104.

There is nothing at CB left that we dont already have on the roster.

Anything other than WR in the 4th and we have poo the bed.

      lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

      Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
