Okay, here goes...

Can he be moved to the outside in a 4-3?

Would he be an improvement over Diggs?

Should the Panthers sign? Can we even afford him?

Will they?

Opinions please.

And yes, I know that threads about signing every known player thats getting cut are annoying, but whatever.

I'd rather see the Panthers go after Leroy Hill. It seems the Seahawks rescineded their franchise tag on him after they drafted Curry. He'd be an ideal OLB for Meek's defense.

Carolina can't afford Leroy (he'll want probablly 8kk a year or so)... and about the Foote thing, he's heading to Detroit more then likely. There was talk during the off-season of him wanting to finish his career in Detroit and to help the community and the kids of the city. He also just purchased a house in Michigan.

why do people hate on diggs?

he was fine last year.

I guess its just because he's the least noticeable of the starting 3. In fairness to him, he does seem to mesh well with the team. Team chemistry has to be taken into account at all times, but outside of that, whats the harm in trying to improve upon "fine"? Not that Foote would be an improvement necessarily, though. And it looks now as if he's going to stay put.

He wants to play for the Lions. Knowing that, I'd have to wonder about his judgment :sosp:

Haha....good point. Maybe his strategy is to spend a year being the decent looking girl around a bunch of fugly's with the hopes the comparison will net him a beautiful girl contract once the year is over.

    • 100%. He's a serviceable starter but not a shut down CB by any means. Not too bad for $5.25M /year.
    • Crap on a cracker! I didn't see that from the original video. That's nasty.
    • It is like he just can’t be bothered with that stuff.    But seriously, rebuilding your entire physical operating procedure is so difficult that very few can do it. You have to get it in you so deep that you don’t think about it. Most people fall back to their comfort zone at the biggest moments. Because it worked for them up until ‘now’ and they don’t have to think about it.  You would think people would know this but here we are.  His so obviously wack unorthodox mechanics screamed to me that a rebuild would be necessary and that the single biggest reason I was so opposed to taking him.  It plays out all the time. He is in and out of what Canales tried to train him to do. That’s what the emphasis on 1 2 3 plant throw was about last offseason, as much as it was about getting the ball out quicker. But it is all connected.  You just can’t get the ball out that fast with his old routine, slows you down.
