Kidney Transplant Update

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

No, not me. The little fella I helped coach in Flag Football.

Took a while, but they finally found a suitable donor, his mother. Father and brother had both previously volunteered but were found unsuitable for medical reasons.

Transplant took place a few weeks ago and was a success. Mother and son are both home and doing fine. I expect to see him back on the field scoring touchdowns this fall.

Big thanks to all those who offered prayer and support when this was first mentioned last year.

That's wonderful news! Without prying too much do you know hat caused this young man's condition? I had someone very close to me that was diagnosed with a rare form of vasculitis that shut his kidneys down and needed a transplant. He was 16, president of his class, and a 3 sport athlete. Life can be very cruel so I just wanted to offer my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
