Ben Gordon traded to Charlotte

I went to several games this year and he's hard to figure out. Yes, you see the athleticism and potential, and that's all that matters as far as the NBA is concerned, but at times it's like he zones out and his head isn't in the game. If he shores that up this year, he could vie for the top pick as well.

Yup. I thought he was loss in another world at times. He's like the Cutler or Peppers in CBB bc you just can't figure him out by looking at him.

Chad Ford:

Beal and Barnes are off our board after the BG trade.

I hope so. IMO, T-rob and MKG are the two safest players and I have been saying that forever now. I was really being intrigued by Beal but now with the addition of Gordon, we are def better in that position. Barnes, he could become a great player but he could really just become nothing but just a jump shooter really. You got to question his performance last season also. So, it's down to T-rob and MKG. MKG would help fill a gaping hole for us. And even though we have Biyombo already, drafting a PF like Robinson wouldn't hurt. He brings in an attitude and abilities different from Biyombo. I can't even imagine a Biyombo/T-rob combo for years to come.

ugh plz not mkg

Ugh plz not opinion from a Pacers fan.

Shouldn't you be worrying about who the Pacers are going to draft?

And I'm getting really tired of seeing you in here. If you wanna be a bobcats fan just say it. And change that horrible profile pix of yours. Seriously. Having a pacers logo but trying to make opinion about our bobcats. True fans only have one team brother.

Jesus Christ, eat a dick Chad Ford. I don't normally care, but I'm really sick of every fat ass sports writer or unhappy ex-coach commentator going out of their way to take shots at this team. Yeah we suck, most teams picking top 3 do. You're Chad Ford, write the rumor and shut up.

If we draft MKG and Barnes blows up in the pros we are going to look foolish.

I really, really hope we can work out a trade with Cleveland to take some of the heat off the front office if one of these guys blow up and the other busts. Let them make the decisions and we get who is left over.

I just don't think MKG is very good.

I hope we are really down to Robinson or Barnes since Beal is off the table.

That rumor makes no sense. We drafted a PF last year & just traded our only SF for a SG so that means we are gonna draft another PF?

LOL, Maybe he can give us on the skinny on the next installation of the Star Wars saga between Bobcats jokes. I just ignored those shots when I read it. I mean, look at him. He's Chad Ford.

I hate to say it, but id MUCH rather take barnes over Gilchrist any day til Sunday. MKG is not what you draft at #2 hes what youd draft at 6-31

if its Barnes or Trob im all for it. Just hell no to MKG.

Same here. Again, I went to school with Barnes and saw him play several times over the last few years. I just didn't see what all the hype was about. Yes, he's athletic, but he didn't always play like it. He's gotta show or work on his ball handling/creating off the dribble and quit settling for jumpers. That being said, from everything coming out recently and how both of them project going forward, I'd take HB over MKG anyday as well.

I'm just not impressed with MKG and don't see why he's even being talked about as a Top 10 pick.

We can find a guy to be Bruce Bowen type-player as an UFA.

I hope it's TRob or Barnes if we keep #2, or even if we move to #4.

    • It is all confusing and layered. SB is the cash you get very soon within weeks or in simple terms, its what you get to sign the paper work. Players and agents can agree on contract but what to "wait" to sign......teams don't like that cause you can "Carlos Boozer" yourself. In order to get that ink dry, while keeping the contract the same, portion it as a bonus to "sign" and get the funds with ________ .   * But Ive seen worded contracts that split the SB or a 20% to a later date. The beans counters can fill in the details about why certain dates are better and save the team money.. Theres tricks to the trade and accounting is full of them.    Ugh another big layer, is SB can be used to manipulate cap and players. Ill try to give a example that makes enough sense. Believe it or not having a owner like Tepper is a cheat code for this. He has cash in hand, where as Mark Davis had problem making pay roll and had to move the team to Vegas....... Tepper can give you 100,000,000 SB right now and the team can spread out the cap hit. Another owner doesn't have or want to give the player 100,000,000 in cash, but offered the same guaranteed contract in roster bonuses fully guaranteed over the next few years........ Which one do you want??? Everyone wants the money now, not before another inflation waves hits in 2 years. So it does 'pay" to have a owner like tepper that's able to have real cash on hand, while it also works GREAT for cap help. Heres a good video, if you can stand coked up pat and mask look-a-like AJ
    • I don't know. CMC is like others and may have lip serviced that line of " I had no plan or wanted to leave Carolina" I think he even said he bought a house too and wanted this to be home.   Here's what I heard- In a way Panthers org gave him a test and he didn't "fight" back. They approached CMC and told him they wanted to put him on IR since the "season" was over or out of playoff reach. CMC didn't fight it one lick and agreed. They secretly wanted him to kept playing or want to, but there was no kickback. I honestly don't know if its real or not, 5th hand information type deal doing on. Yes he had bruises and pains, but was able to play...... but went along with Panthers staff. Odd to be playing games with star players, but whatever....   Plus the staff doctors found out about his tendinitis and there was nothing to fix it. Even with him missing time, it was the best move to trade him before he got inflamed constantly.    Lastly, its mostly time a combo of stuff, Fitterererere did not sign him to be the highest paid RB. That was classic Marty "give me a" herniay doing. GMs have different values on roster spots and rumor was Fitterererer was one that didn't want to pay RBs. For all his faults, he's right about that......
    • I think google is confusing signing bonus with guaranteed money. If you get a guarantee of say $10 million, it doesn’t matter if the signing bonus is $5 or $8 million, it’s the $10 million number that affects the cap, as the signing bonus is always just a portion of the guaranteed money anyways. And again, I’ll admit I’m not 100% sure about it, but I’m pretty sure it is the case.
