Beautiful morning to run

It is... gorgeous here... about 70 and sunny.

Of course, I immediately went to the gym... :)

Joscott and I killed chest today.

That boy's getting strong.  He got 230 today on flat bench.  Most he's done I believe.  He's about 6'4" with long arms too, so at ~205lbs I find that pretty impressive, esp since he's only been lifting a couple of months.

Just wanted to brag on him a bit...

Have had a rough couple of months. We'll actually since may. I was at 220 and overall pretty muscular and nice and defined. I quit going to the gym and eating right bc if stuff going on in my life. While I have only went up a few pounds I can't tell a big difference in my body. Muscle is gone and fat now covers up my muscle.

But good news is I'm starting back and will be getting back to being cut and big within a few months

I really need to start lifting. My body's just not made to be a big time lifter. I'm skin and bones. I can run for days but girls aren't as easily impressed by that lol

The hardest part is getting started. Once you get it going, its like your body starts craving it.

....until you take a break. Then your body never wants to lift again.

i hear so many different things.  my friends are constantly drinking shakes and all that and talk about how many calories you need to consume after lifting to really add muscle.  idk any of this.  i need to start going, i'm a member of a huge nice gym but i kinda hate going cause i see so many friends and girls and it's embarrassing :/

    • They dont have a choice.  Tua's contract/dead cap (cough cough) leaves them no other choice
    • I'd be careful with that Sleeper site with accuracy. Hendrickson didn't go there, but they did get the Gary trade, but slightly off. Gary goes for a 4th in '27. I would've traded a 4th in 2027 for Gary. Wish we would've been in on this. Meh.
    • It looks like his biggest knock was his size / strength. A year with a nfl caliber strength coach ad nutritionist may have done him a world of good. FWIW (not much), he came out of Michigan State listed at 307 lbs and we have him at 314. I'll be watching him like a hawk this preseason. Overview A three-year starter with good feet and technique, Samac could be in consideration for a move-blocking rushing attack. He is strong at the point of attack but will have limitations against NFL power. He operates with good hand placement and nimble feet and is a demon once he’s on the move as a pulling center leading the way. He’s fluid and agile in the run game, but those traits fail to do as much for him in protection. Samac punches with inside hands but can struggle to widen his protection base in order to protect his edges. He has eventual starting talent as a run blocker but needs to add more mass and improve in pass protection to get there. Strengths Enters into initial contact with body control and accuracy. Plays with above-average hand placement and strong core. Gets chin tucked and hips rolled into seal and base blocks. Athleticism to race around the corner as a pulling lead blocker. Smooth and fluid working from block to block. Sees twists and snaps them off with sharp push. Weaknesses Not very explosive at the point of first impact. Fails to generate movement on secure block before climbing up. Will have issues handling the size of an NFL odd-front nose. Pulled off balance when defenders feel him leaning in protection. Gets beaten into the pocket by length and edge power.
