Name Your Starting Secondary After Camp

It doesn't matter were you are drafted, if you can play.seattle started an udfa at CB last year.think he went to the pro bowl as well.

Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor at saftey as well as Brandon Browner at CB made the pro bowl from Seattle. Actually had Chancellor in my IDP league and the reason they did so well was the horrible play of their front seven. Watched several Seahawks games and if it wasn't for the secondary they'd have given up twice as many touchdowns. Guys were tackling machines, basically the exact opposite of Martin.

Yeah I can't stand Martin either. He bounced off MJD like a rubber ball.

I will never forgive him for that half-ass effort against the Saints* in week 17 when he gave up that bomb TD right before the half. That was his lasting impression.

I don't think Martin is going to lose his starting spot to Nak or Smith. I think he's the starter in week one. Nakamura is a special teams beast. I think Rivera is going to figure on Nak being the back up. Smith is on the outside looking in.

I don't think a big change at safety is going to make a huge impact. You can make more of an impact by addressing the CB2 spot. Hopefully Norman is the real deal...but he's still a rookie from a regional univ. I still have a little hope for Hogan stepping up. I don't even know why people automatically assume Captain will be the nickel. He just doesn't match up well physically with WRs in this league. What makes you think he'd be better in the slot?

Maybe Munnerlyn will get the benefit of the doubt like Martin. The would be what Fox would do. Will Rivera and McDermott flip the script or will they go status quo?

Free Safety: Reggie Smith

Strong Safety: Charles Godfrey/Haruki Nakamura

CB: Chris Gamble

CB: Darius Butler

Nickle CB: Josh Norman/Charles Godfrey

Darius Butler is my sleeper choice as CB2. In the nickel situation, I think we will use some schemes where Godfrey is the nickel CB like we intended last year

Cb1: Chris Gamble

Cb2: Josh Norman, if he has a good camp. Munnerlyn otherwise.

FS: Haruki

SS: Godfrey

I think Sherrod gets moved to Nickle when we need a Safety/CB tweener

Hogan is first off the bench.

Hopefully we see some matchup based substitutions. I don't really have a favorite for CB2. I'd like Hogan to get his act together and work harder. Norman seems like he wants it and he has the size as well. Munnerlyn works hard and is pretty decent with tackling but he's gotten abused quite a bit. I think with an offseason he can get back to a level we can respect. Our division has very difficult WRs to cover so it's good to have a lot of competition at the high end. ATL has 2 #1s, NO has a bunch of #2s. TB just got their hands on a matchup nightmare. We will have our hands full. So, seriously, Let the best man win.
