Just Played NCAA 13 The Full Game

Friend has the little ea service where you get a game 3 days early .. anyhow.. upon review ..

Same commentary, same lack of penalties, same incorrect challenges ( had a corner get an interception that in replay was halfway phased through the ground meaning obvious incompletion) , same lack of blocking.

The only thing changed was the psychic DB's (sort of) They are now dumber than dirt when it comes to the run game and are all run over by every QB , including LB's .. had a QB throw down a 250 lb blitzing LB with his non throwing hand that was unblocked..

So telling you now.. DO NOT BUY.. I REPEAT.. DO NOT BUY!

For those that do anyway , grats on feeding ea more money for an unfinished product.

Damn you, prepaid for it. I played the DEMO and I like it, a little.

What do you think of the passing game, at least you can touch pass......

I'm playing NCAA 11'. I bought it for 10 bucks because it has Cam. But really what does it matter, within 4 seasons all the players are computer generated and it's the same game as all the other years. The only tangible change is Conference alignment. I change the AI with sliders to suit my needs.

You could always touch pass.. its the same crap you float it and its underthrown.. you could always lead receivers they just didnt tell you how but youve been able to hold the left stick and aim throws forever. if you throw it hard and hold up to throw it high the trajectory is low and its picked as it always has been. The only thing about the game I like is how loud the crowd is because it's realistic but other than that its a steaming pile of poo imho.

The game isn't here yet you can still drop the pre pay and get the money back.

I hear ya, I know now to pass lead a stuff, but if a defender (LBer) was in your passing lane you could never throw over his head, without throwing it to deep and the safeties would INT it, but I've been able to hit WR over the middle, without the LB being able to touch the ball, and in front of the Safeties.

I never bought a NCAA game, but playing the DEMO, made me want to get it, so I could practice for Madden.... I had some extra cash so I said FUG it.....

To each his own but they've lost me for good after looking at how wrong the ratings were ( Jadeveon Clowney was an 80 HA ) and then playing that steaming pile of manure.. I just hope one year enough people stop altogether and they sell less than the year before .. that would be orgasmic.

You do know the ratings can be changed right? Unless you're planning on joining the cheesefest online then you're SOL. Seriously, the games not perfect, but it plays well especially if you're in an OD with a bunch of legit players.....

Oh and it's not like Clowney had some ungodly year last year, so an 80 overall is pretty fair imo. I for one like that the last few years they've stretched the ratings out some. True freshman were coming in at like 87-88 overall the last few years which is beyond a joke.

lol at thinking a guy who only played on third down who was still a freshman all american and can chase down all QB's and most RB's deserves an 80 xD .. I shouldn't have to change thousands of player ratings and move them to the correct position to accomodate their laziness .. quit making excuses for them. The game has been a time waster since 2006 and this year same story .. face the facts. If you wanna play it get it used .. dont give ea a cent of your money.

So by your thinking, he's fast so he deserves higher then an 80??? I'm not saying that he's not a great player, all I'm saying is based on his stats last year which is what EA goes by, I don't think an 80 overall is to far off....

That 's not the only thing it was just the biggest miss in his ratings He was a 79 overall as a freshman ... after an all american freshman year his progression is to 80? They have his speed at 73 .. bumping it to 82-3 would bring his overall to 84 .. is that so hard? I played a game against clemsons sorry ass and he didn't get off a single block due to his craptastic rating. He didn't have a hurry , a sack , or a tackle for loss when he recorded at least 2 of those 3 in every game he played last year just on 3rd downs? I mean it becomes obvious off that statistic alone that they dont look at their ratings from previous games and have players progress accordingly.

I'm sure you know who connor shaw is and how often he takes off running .. they have his speed listed at 65 and his tendency listed as "pocket passer" what the fuging fug is that? It's laziness , pure laziness to do background research because its not a team "that everyone likes"

I have played the demo and noticed definate changes in the passing game (much welcomed changes)..though the presentations, animations, graphics are all pretty much the same as 2012..(though tiger stadium looks more accurate than any previous version). I feel that the ratings are a little off every year but I typcially download a named/adjusted roster off of operation sports..that goes through and changes all the numbers, gear, faces, etc and adds the correct names and tweaks the obvious ratings flaws.

What sold me on this years version is the new dynasty recruiting system. I have read all about it and read some early reviews about it and it seems to be awesome. Since I typically play an online dynasty with others..the improved recruiting seems to be the selling point for us..couple that with downloaded rosters..a tweaked passing game and the absence of super DB's and LB's..I am relatively excited for this year's game.

IMO..mind you I have not played the full version yet, only the demo. hope this helps.

That's the problem, speed is way too important in EA football games....speed shouldn't have that much of an impact on the overall. And like I said, they give you the ability to rate people for a reason....you do know there was a lawsuit because some felt the players in the game resembled their real life counterparts too much. They felt that those players should be compensated for their likeness. Not saying this is the only reason, but I'm sure that has something to do with tendencies not being 100% accurate....

Part of the reason player ratings will never be accurate is lack of license to use college players likeness. EA and NCAA even were sued by former collegiate players. Link

Judge dismissed EA from the lawsuit but NCAA is still being sued I believe. If EA makes the player ratings accurate, college players have more of a case.
