I watched The Mist last night for the 1st time and you know it wasn't that bad but the cool part was all the Walking Dead folks in it

Haha, wow. I haven't seen that movie in a couple years so it never registered. The Mist...talk about an ending that makes you feel like poo.

I loved that movie. The ending was perfect, it does make you feel bad but it couldn't have ended a better way.

The book didn't end like that...So when I watched the movie I was actually very pleasantly surprised...Stephen King actually said he preferred the movie ending to his own book

The reason for this is Frank Darabont. Darabont was the director of the Mist and Shawshank and also was the director of TWD's first 13 episodes. Darabont is also King's go to guy when adapting his books to film. I think he also directed The Green Mile. A lot of Darabont's films have the same people in them because he, like most directors, prefer to work with actors they are comfortable with. See = Tim Burton/Johnny Depp.....Scorsese/DiCaprio

I believe the episode where Sophia walks out of the barn is his last one. He was fired. Jeffery DeMunn (Dale) didn't think too highly of that and asked for his release which he was obviously granted. I read the reason Darabont was fired was he wanted a bigger budget and AMC said no. He got pissed and made a scene.

i think he was released because he was ruining the show with morning after pills and boring conversations about what life was like before zombies

those first seven episodes were good but I did expect better. The Sophia arc was about 3 episodes too long.

I know you don't like the flashbacks but a majority of every one does. I compare this show to LOST and the flashbacks were some of the best parts of the show. I stopped watching LOST after season 4. Unbearable.

i've never read a king novel and at the end thought "i'm glad i read that"

as far as the flashbacks go in walking dead, they're unimportant. who they were is not as important as who they are and what they're going to become

and usually i like a lot of flesh to the story, (i've read song of ice and fire twice) but these flashbacks are just casting shadows on the wall and don't mean poo unlike the things that happened prior to the occurrence of game of thrones for example which not only continue to have an effect on the story, but laid the grand foundations for the events unfolding in current times

if you watched more than 15 minutes of the first episode of lost then you got exactly what you deserved. a fitting punishment for the crime imo

the best part of lost is the shittiest thing about walking dead. fact. comparing the two shows is uneducated at best.
