Mitch Kupchak Is A Gangsta....

I don't understand. The Magic have to be getting more back than what's being reported.

Afflalo has 3 years 23 mil and a PO year left on his contract, Harrington has 3 years 22 mil, and Vucevic is not that good. Yeah they're getting 3 first round picks and Moe Harkless but unless they can keep rolling those picks over they're not going to be very good anytime soon.

With all the previously rumored deals, this doesn't make any sense from the Magic's perspective. LA, Philly and Denver are getting great deals here and Orlando is getting 2 bad contracts and a few picks.

The rumored deals obviously weren't real proposed deals, or Hennigan waited way to long to pull the trigger. My bet is the rookie GM make a rookie mistake. OH and Harrington isn't exactly a bad contract, it's only partially guaranteed after this year....

Didn't the Magic GM come from San Antonio? Aren't they all supposed to be geniuses with great basketball minds? Smh, this guy was the dummy of the group. He just got hosed. Had a better offer from the Nets, and decides to take the crap offered to him by the Lakers. Didn't even get Bynun out of the deal smh. Every team in this deal just made a come up except Orlando.

No offer that includes Lopez on a max deal is a better offer. That offer was poo to, this is just better poo since they got two good young prospects in Vucevic and Harkless, and a younger (27) guy who can actually ball in AA. Harrington isn't terrible because his contract is only partially guaranteed. Plus it seems like Hedo may have been absorbed into Denver's TPE so their worst contract is gone along with Duhon and Earl Clark heading to L.A. according to Spears....

    • They are worried that smaller markets would get the best new players.
    • We overthunk it.  We had a need for big #1 WR. Our coach had Evans in Tampa.  The draft was not a good value in the first with edge players, but I really think we got 2 steals in rounds 2 and 3.  I think the second round talent at edge (since Pearce and Green seemed to have baggage) was pretty level.  Common sense says you grab the Mike Evans-type WR and dip in at edge on day 2.  We went after DTs pretty hard in free agency, and the draft was deep there--I think they did this because the plan was WR and Edge and maybe RB and (rather obviously) Safety.  The key was making sure TMac was there because there were really no others like him.  ---- I dont think Morgan was bad last year; just had some bad rookie GM luck.  XL has upside, but was raw...I would not call him a bust yet--too many variables working against him.  I think he will be a good #2.   I think Coker will be our slot post AT, and I REALLY like the Horn pick.  This seems to have been their plan if you consider free agency ---re-sign Horn and Jackson--Moehrig, Roseboom, Wharton, Brown III, Jones--If the focus was WR, RB, S, and Edge, Morgan hit a home run.
    • I was having the same thoughts.  You might need to get some help.  😀
