2012-13 EPL season

it's almost upon us, as the unofficial beginning is Sundays Chelsea-Man City Community Shield match in Birmingham with opening weekend on the 18th-20th

A few things to ponder:

Can Chelsea use their Chaps league win as a springboard to challenge the Manchester stranglehold up top.

Newcastle kept the band together, can they go higher than 5th and get into Champs league in '13.

Can Wigan make a run towards the top half, or were their last 11 games just lightning in a bottle.

Arsenal playing their new squad against Cologne right now... 3-0 at a half. Podolski with 2 goals.

Here's a formation. Soooo much speed with Walcott and Oxe on an outside.

    • My take on Darnold was always that he was fine with a good offensive line but would wilt under pressure with a poor line (Jets and Panthers). Seattle began the year w/ a pretty bad oline and they improved somewhat but Darnold is showing he is a pretty good qb. Imagine what the Panthers would be today with Darnold and without Bryce Young and all the wasted draft picks to get him.
    • Similar situation but that would be a better version than what we currently have. Sam isn't a franchise QB but he is a good bridge guy. Either Seatle finds a young guy to groom or they have hit their ceiling. They 100% can't put it on Sam's shoulders and expect to win but the team needs to carry less with him at QB to win vs what this team has to do with Bryce.
    • to me the post would suggest Sam Darnold was good last night because Seattle won in a wild game.   Which is what we do with Bryce Young.   Sam Darnold didn't play well last night.  Which is how he trends, goes to a new team.....looks okay and becomes classic Sam Darnold down the stretch.  Last 6 or 7 weeks old bad Sam is coming out a lot (and then a weird Atlanta game mixed in lol).
