I'm guessing you didn't take the time or effort to do a lot of research on Adams' history.

A muff, and a fumble on back to back plays. Is not the way to impress your coaches. May be a big reason AE is still around.

Can't believe I read this whole thread just so I could say something somebody may have missed. I was right. You guys are so short sighted, thankfully.

One. Teh jimmyz is still around for two reasons. One, there have been no upgrades available. Two, he does his job, and keeps his mouth shut.

Two. AE is still on the team for two reasons. One, he is still on his rookie deal. Two, he was a talented flyer that will be given as much time as possible.

This is probably their last year.

Also, DA is a top tier back up. If Zod forbid Cam was hurt, DA would be just fine. Not many teams can say that.

Sometimes coaches have to adapt. Saying a player does not fit the scheme is naive at best. Chud did adjust for Cam.

That said. We very well could be looking for two QBs next year. That my friends is not a pretty thought.

Anderson is a playbook mentor. Last time he actually saw the field....he competed with Clausen for the title of leagues worst QB.

Cam fits Chud's scheme....he fits with the running excluded. That is an amazing bonus. Clausen doesn't fit....THAT is one arguement you stand alone with on this board. It is a vertical passing attack...a big arm and willingness to stay in the pocket are the key qualities to fitting Chud's base offense.

Josh Johnson > Jimmy Clausen. Johnson isn't even an ideal fit for the scheme but would be an improvement. We will need to find a number 2....and that could easily be our #3 replacing DA soon.

2010 - name the 2 worst QBs that season? DA at least fits the scheme and has mentored Cam. He just can't actually do it on the field in the NFL and be successful.

Anderson has had value for us....but it is what he does in the meeting/film room and coaching. People acting like he can still ball have nothing to support such a claim.

On The Jimmy: He has never caused a problem and gets along with the Cam & DA.

One way to look at is if it weren't for Clausen being so sorry in 2010, we would have never gotten Cam Newton. I say thank you Jimmy Clausen.

Josh Johnson has had numerous opportunities. So coming here would be that one place that clicks? Not sure I wouldn't take our #3 over him. Johnson is not a project, his in a never was.

So Anderson is the same QB he was two years ago? Live in the past much? Too many folks use history to predict the future. It can be a guide, but it is usually a false lead. Anderson is not the same person he was then. He is more mature and comfortable. That can make a huge difference in his play. But you will discount that along with anything positive I throw out. He is a very capable back up. Too bad you don't care to see the big picture.

Hate away. You win. We are lucky to field a team of JV players with all the overprotected players, scrubs, and has beens on our team. I hate walking away from a challenge. But you are a lost cause.

Why are people butt hurt about Clausen?

A 3rd QB is a necessity. The league recognizes that and doesn't count the emergency 3rd QB as part of the active game day roster. He is under contract and has shown the coaching staff enough to allow them more time to focus on depth at other positions. I mean... really? Are we really going to be boo hooing because we didn't hit up free agency for the poor man's Cam to back up SuperCam and Dr. Anderson? Jeeeeeesus.

Not about them. Big picture. Drafted players carry more weight and are given a longer leash....it is how Carolina gets to boast they have more drafted guys on their roster than anyone else. Sounds good. Makes their drafting sound better as well.

Sounds good to who? Who is Hurney trying to boast to and what possible benefit does it provide?

The fans? They know Clausen and Edwards are busts. Unless you think the vast majority of them will turn agianst and protest Hurney when he can no longer boast, then there is no need or reason to keep them for bragging rights.

The FO? They are far too smart and expirenced enough to belive the false logic that having tons of players drafted means you did well. Hurneys job does not hinge on wether he releases a pair of backups, they already know there bad.
