Where are the Rivera-haters now?

FYI....we did not close out the Saints like we should have....we actually gave the Saints way too many opportunities to come back and beat us. Clock management during the 4th quarter actually sucked pretty bad.

This is very true. We won, but it wasn't coaching and smart play calling late in the 4th and got us the W. It looked and felt to me like a same old complaint from last year. We were not closers. We handed a guy like Brees plenty of time to tie the game on a silver platter.

Only out of the Saints*** fatigue, their frustration, and the grace of Beason, did we pull this one off the way we did. Even with no TO's left, a scoring machine like NO, although sputtering, has to be respected, unlike their fans, coaches, and numerous defensive cheap shot artists.

WHERE ARE THE CHUD-HATERS NOW?

I'm no Chud hater, but he had a bad game plan going into Tampa and he didn't make the necessary adjustments as the game went on.

Against the Saints, we consistently gave more protection (blockers) to Cam and the running backs, and the results were excellent. I honestly believe Chud used Tampa almost as a 5th preseason game, thinking we could afford to go 3 to 4 wide all game, eschew the running game, and still get the win. It blew up on him.

Calling out coaching mistakes does not make one a "hater".

After the Dan Henning and Jeff Davison years...it will take A LOT of bad play and losing seasons for me to ever Hate on Chud..

Remember where this team came from...I was wishing for a freaking meteor to hit the earth ever Sunday in 2010...

I still watched every snap and post game interview...as much as I hated it and it was the worst football ever played...at any level that I have ever seen.

This team is not moving but ACCELERATING toward something special..

Except for the blockbuster Free Agency moves during the Super Bowl run this is the most excited I have been for the team in the last 10 years..actually this is more exciting bc our coach "aint afraid."

When did we become obligated just to be cheerleaders.I think most of us had a WTF moment after watching that game. They were out coached and out played but that does not make anyone a hater. We all knew what the offense was capable of and it did not show up on the field

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
