since im bored and have no life i just looked at all our home openers on wikipedia and, excluding 2005, all of our seasons in which we've made the postseason we have won our home openers and(if i got this wrong or missed a season i apologize) all the seasons that we've lost our home openers we've missed it. just something to think about..

In 2002 the Panthers beat the Raven in their home opener and failed to make the playoffs. In 2005 they lost to the Saints** in their home opener and made the playoffs.

Ahhh 2002 we started 3-0 and would have been in overtime with GB in game 4 had shayne Graham not missed an XP length field goal. Damn you shayne Graham. After that things went severely downhill.

    • I think so.  People are still conflating winning while Bryce Young is playing, and Bryce Young playing well.  Bryce Young still struggles beyond belief to eclipse a lousy 200 yards passing.  There simply aren't opportunities through the air for any of the receivers.  Coker appears to be the clear #2 man right now and he's only getting one or two decent opportunities a game.  If he or a guy like TMac had a real QB they'd have staggering numbers, and I suspect XL would be having a solid season as well.  A receiver getting "cold" is a very real thing.  Legette gets one or two targets a game.  Watch his tape.  The dude is getting open.
    • The game vs rams was louder.
    • This. We're scheming up deep shots specifically on short down and distance to go when teams are gearing up anticipating the run.
