Vince Young out of NFL, out of money

Young is suing his former agent, Major Adams, and a North Carolina financial planner, Ronnie Peoples, alleging that they misappropriated $5.5 million. In some instances, the pair forged his signature or impersonated him on the phone or in emails, according to the lawsuit, filed in Houston in June.

The suit was filed five days after a New York lender notified Young that a loan of nearly $1.9 million obtained in his name during the NFL lockout in 2011 was in default. Young is now seeking to stop the lender, Pro Player Funding LLC, from enforcing a judgment of nearly $1.7 million, claiming he wasn't involved in obtaining the loan and that the proceeds went to Adams and Peoples.

''They conspired to take Vince's money,'' Dolezal said. ''It's that simple.''

Maybe he can get some of it back...

Vince Young is not out of money, he just got ripped off by his agent. He owns several restaurants in Texas that are doing well and as long as he lives in that state its a safe bet he'll be taken care of. This is a good story though because more athletes need to come out publicly when an agent or "advisor" rips them off. It happens A LOT, and athletes alot of times are too embarrassed to say something.

As a side topic, its quite remarkable Vince Young hasnt landed a "back up" job in the league. With as many games as he's won, and his history as a starter, he's more than qualified.

Smh... Horrible. He is indeed broke. And he didn't even do cool stuff with the money...

Vince Young spent $5k per week at Cheesecake Factory and other tales of how to go broke

Hope he stays more involved in his restaurants than Dan Morgan did. Those places were very popular too and they somehow went under. People were probably taking advantage of Dan and he didn't realize it until it was too late.

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
    • I've got nothing else to say really than: Ayup. Here we are again. Again.  All we can really hope for is progress. If we improve as much again, it'll be good. If we don't, it'll be foretold.
