Stuck between 4-3 and 3-4?

I really don't want to beat a dead horse, but there's no reason with Rivera as HC the D shouldn't performing well

I feel like we're stuck between a 4-3 and 3-4 and IMO we should be operating a lot in the 3-4 with as many LB we have. On every 3rd down, it should be a blitz

Game planning is seriously the key. We have enough guys to rotate and bring to get pressure. You should know what they're going to run on 3rd and get everybody right. Maybe we are still in a learning phase

I think we should seriously start looking at runninng a 34 in the future. I know we don't have the players for it yet but a couple of guys in FA and two players in the first two rounds should help a lot.

Kuechly and Beason are mikes. CJ could possibly slide back there as a rushing OLB. The two Edwards had some experiences playin NT.

You say we have a lot of backers, but what you forgot to add is that ZERO of our lbs are suited for a 3-4.....it's fine in certain situations, but running a 3-4 exclusively would make this defense more abysmal then it already is.....

    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
