A chance to ask a question of a Panther

I was supposed to be on the Hangout tonight but had some family obligations came up last minute, but I plan on being on there next week.

And to those giving a hard time to Kral, you need to reassess yourselves and think about the situation. First off, it's awfully cool of James to hold these chats with fans because it literally is hanging out - not typing questions and getting responses from some PR person. Secondly, obviously you can't get too in-depth about plays and strategy for the upcoming week because he can't give that info out... So, obviously, you're gonna get some "softball" questions in there, but understand it for what it is.

To those thinking you're gonna go in there and be the Mike Wallace of Panther fan Q&A sessions, you're wrong... Everyone is going to be a bit nervous. I'm sure even JA is. Part of it is that you're chatting with people you generally haven't met before and although Hangouts is an awesome format and advancement in communications, it still lends itself to moments of pauses and silence between exchanges, which can add to the nerves.

AND, as I said, JA doesn't even have to do this so if you go on there trying to be 'Mr. Badass' and/or troll, you probably won't be on there very long.

I'm sure we can ask a little more pressing questions but I don't expect anyone to go up there and try to be Darin Gantt. It's a different dynamic. You're a fan, he's not obligated to answer your questions and neither of you are getting paid to question or answer.

Appreciate it and respect it for what it is. I'm sure we can ask better questions, but there is a boundary there fellas.

Thanks for saying I asked the good questions. I really tried to select ones that wouldn't cross the line and would hopefully get interesting answers. Not knowing who the guest was going to be also kinda messed up the outline I had made beforehand.

Additionally I didn't want to be a ball hog and was trying to give time to green hat and virgina guy for chances to ask questions.

Hopefully if I get to do this next week I will do a better job. Having seen myself now I definitely want to work on my body language.

TCF I can't message you it gives me an error. How do you want me to give you the lowdown?

Just cleaned out my inbox, should be good to go now. If its a long process ill give u my cell phone # and u can walk me through it. I can't imagine it being more than a few clicks and just knowing how to connect with him personally.

I'll show you guys how its done next week. Watch.

I won't be a dick about it either, just cool, calm and collected. I'm not scared to talk to any man, nor will I get nervous. That's rookie poo, don't believe me then just tune in next week.

I do appreciate your efforts though Kral, on the real. Like I said before you asked the better questions for sure.

yeah can't wait to see trucatzfan get on there and show how to act like a real man

no really i cant

I'm just gonna be me... You can interpret it any way you'd like. I don't believe in putting on fronts. I'm always me, and if I don't know something ill be the first one to tell you. The minute that you're not true to yourself is the moment you become lost in this world.

    • This is where I'm at. Dowdle is a feel good story and glad he's proving his doubters wrong. I just don't see how we keep our OL intact (which is the right move) and spend on another RB after giving Chuba his money. Though the odds are against him, I do think Brooks can still be our RB2 next year..and if he stays healthy, our longterm RB1. Having the full offseason with no pressure to try and come back like last year will help. I'm also happy to see he and TD have been connecting.  If this team is smart, they go into next year with Chuba/Brooks/ETN and sign a Dowdle-light version in FA at minimum cost. Chuba is in his prime and a full offseason to fully recharge will only benefit him more. Dowdle is unfortunately a luxury item I don't think we can spend our money on. We still have other areas of need that we have to improve on the defensive side of the ball.
    • last time they loaded the box, shut down the run and forced BY9 to beat them, we saw the result of that. So what can we do this time to beat them? I suspect it's going to require a lot of short / intermediate passes with TE play to help
    • Floyd Mayweather Jr. made hundreds of millions off realizing this. He was an exciting boxer in his early days but watching his dad and uncle struggle with the effects of taking thousands of punches to the head he realized he was skilled enough to good guys without putting himself at risk and he'd just wait for other elite guys to lose a step before facing them. The whole WWE-esque "Money" persona was built around the realization that it doesn't matter if they're watching to see you win or watching hoping you'll lose, all that matters is that they're watching. Force them to love you or hate you, just make sure they care enough to tune in. We had a similar situation with Cam. Everyone felt some kinda way about Cam. You couldn't find many NFL fans who were neutral on Cam Newton. Is was love or hate but either way it was must see TV.
