Mock draft

Kuech the Sneak

Recommended Posts

1st-Star Lotulelei DT-need a dominant presence on the inside to keep our LB core clean because there not very good at getting off of blocks, improve our overall defense.

2nd-Matt Elam S-really solid tackler and good in coverage, we need a steady presence a the safety position who we can rely on to not completely whiff on tackles or blow coverages.

4th-Alvin Bailey OG-big nasty guard from the SEC who plays against alot of quality d-lineman

I think if we are picking in the top 10, Star Lotulelei hasn't impressed me enough to take a chance on him. He's a good player, but is he deserving of that high a pick? I just don't know. I wish there was a clear pick for us if we are picking that high, but this draft doesn't seem to have clear cut players. Guys that could make a significant impact in their first year.

Hankins is the only DT worth a top 10 pick imho. Keenan Allen and Justin Hunter for WR's (Allen with the edge). Dee Milliner and Johnathan Banks for CB. Joeckel is probably the most worthy OT for top 10.

Now the problem is, which one of those prospects do you value the most?

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
