Offensive Coordinator Replacements/Candidates?

You guys, as Panthers fans, should already know that nobody ever gets let go from this charity organization unless we go 2-14 or worse. You should also, as Panthers fans, already know that they will close the year winning 4/5, in other words just enough to get by and use injuries/etc. as an excuse. Unless JR suddenly has some kind of epiphany, this staff isn't going anywhere.

Yay mediocrity and complacency.

If Cam Newton never learns how to read a full playbook of a NFL-pro style offense, you might as well look towards colleges for offensive coordinators! I think most great NFL coordinators, know this game is beyond Cam.

I'm sure Gus Malzahn might be looking for work soon, if Auburn decides to make big changes in the offseason. I'm sure he can draw up some dumbed-down spread offense plays for Cam that smart defenses will easily figure out and Cam will occasionally have success with.

Thing is, a guy like Cam is going to show signs of promise and kids that play video games will think he is awesome, but he is limited and can only take us so far. He has great speed, size, arm straight but lacks an understanding of the game, maturity... a lot of s***.

I guarantee you, we hire a great GM, he is going to get rid of Cam and bring in a veteran QB who is smart with the ball and doesn't make stupid mistakes. I really like Cam but he's just like Michael Vick. He can be a highlight reel from time to time but that's it.

The thing about "flashes of greatness" are, you need to keep those "flashes" going for four quarters.

So the DC has a higher chance of getting fired despite being better at his job than the OC (yes they do both suck).

"Chud is going no where" lol yea, sure buddy. Only you would make such an asinine definitive statement like that.

care to wager?

Not that i feel either will be gone, but if had to put.money on one or the other, yes, I'd say our dc goes before chud.

Dan henning was fired as OC after the 2007 season where we went 7-9. And that was when we had to deal with Carr and testaverde as part of the QB carousel, where injuries really were an issue.
