What would you say about.....Hankins in the first, Shawn Williams or Lester in the second....if we can trade into the 3rd then grab a OG like Warford from Kentucky.

Would anyone like an impact DE in the first like Damontre Moore, Montgomery or Dion Jordan (good weight program required). Then a safety or DT in the second

Milliner in the first then a DT in the second?

Could we sign Landry, Wallace/Bowe or a free agent left tackle? Any one of these would help a ton.

I wouldn't mind Milliner 1st and a DT like a Sylvester Williams or Jesse Williams in the 2nd.

Dno about Landry. He's injury proned and is just a tackling highlight. He's bad in coverage.

Probably no way we can afford Wallace or Bowe. And LT in FA are Jake Long and Clady, and who are also not affordable.

If we can't sign a LT because of $$$$$ then would Joeckel interest anyone?

Nope, not me a bit. And I don't care how good he is. A franchise LT don't win you Super Bowl. Look at the Browns (Thomas), Miami (Long) and Rams (Jason Smith).

We need a DT or WR in the first. You can always find an OT year in and year out. Gross has a couple good years left and Bell has solidify the RT.

I mentioned the other day that Joeckel would be a good pick. I think solidifying the Oline is important.

Gross will be around maybe a couple more seasons and having his replacement readay to go would be smart.

No need to find his replacement yet. OLineman comes out every year and they are plug and play guys. You don't really have to develop an o-lineman. They make easy transition into the NFL.

Gross interests me at LT.

Lol yup me too I agree.

I dont see any problem with our OLINE. For whatever reason it always take them till midseason to find their grove. They been playin well even without Kalil. We struck gold with Amini I say. He will improve significantly next year. Gross and Bell are legit at OT. Byers actually been doing well also. Possibly move Byers to RG next year.

Our OLINE wouldn't look so bad early in the season if Chud wasn't trying to be a kuncklehead genius.

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
