Cam improved today.

Its the defenses fault we lost last week. Luke Kuechly struggles in coverage. You'd never know that reading this board though, only Cam has room for improvement, the rest of our 2-8 team is fine.

Hahahahahahahahaahahahaha!!!!

I agree WR is a bigger need for this team then most posters admit or realize.

Would love to see them snag Dwayne Bowe this summer.

Agree 100% that we need more talent at WR. However, it is not the reason that Cam consistently over throws his receivers. It is definitely part if the issue in the passing fame as they often struggle to get separation. But, cam's overthrow issues are something entirely different.

Most posters on this board hopped on the wagon during the Fox era and srarted out as Steve Smith player fans, Dan Morgan player fans, Jake Delhomme player fans, etc. They throw Hurney under the bus for overpaying our guys, but never mention its their continued emotionall attachment to the "fan fave" players that enabled and encouraged Hurney to do so. Too many up here want to undermine or ignore our future so they can hold on to and glamorize the past. "We were so close to winning a Super Bowl 10 years ago...good ole days". Fox moved on, but some of us havent. Its time to stop propping up and holding on to non productive players.

sure, you've got everyone completely pegged.

cam is the only one who ever gets criticized or who people think have room for growth.

meh...not worth the effort.

Cams inaccurate throws are Cams inaccurate throws. It's something he has to work on with the new coaching staff in the offseason. Are the receivers bad? Hell yes they are. But Cam being inaccurate is Cam. If you are accurate you can make receivers good. Example Robert Meachem because he is complete trash in San Diego right now with a mediocre QB.

Madhatter back at it again I see.

And as usual, you and KT ignore the question.

There is a reason Cam (after a record setting season) was not voted a captain. His teammates do NOT see him as a leader. Try and spin it any way you want., that us the only FACT at hand.

it could also be out of respect for the most tenured vets with the franchise.

just saying it's a possibility. i think that's a horrible way to base deciding on a captain on, btw, but i can most certainly see it happening.

i do think that cam has a little way to go before being considered a true leader on that team or at least proving himself as one, but then i don't think there's many on that team who have done that from what i can see. apparently hurney felt the same way. there's just a void there, but i blame the culture that fox and hurney created and which rivera did nothing to change.

Keeks teammates dont see him as a leader. He's no Beason who became captain the second he touched the field. Keek still has to mature and improve his work ethic. Keek has a long way to go to match the all pro/locker room leader status that preceded him at MLB.

I am not the one out here blaming everyone for why a specific player was not named captain. That is all on you.

Keek and Cam are a little different this season.

Keek....rookie lb who had never taken a snap in the nfl and was not even assured a starting lb position.

Cam...starting QB on the team who just set many rookie records.

If you can't see the difference, then there is no hope for you.

    • Im not angry. Im disappointed. I want to win. Anyone who has watched Bryce play the last 3 years and thinks that this team has in any way seriously addressed the glaring deficiencies in our QB room is deluding themselves. It's been explained ad nauseum how our FO has protected Bryce from feeling even slightly challenged or pressured. A GM without an interfering owner would have brought in another QB to at least give the team a better chance at winning. We just gave an extension to a QB that only got 3k yards on the last play of his 16th game of the year. Indy admitted AR wasn't good enough by bringing in Jones to compete for the starting role. Tennessee drafted Ward to replace Levis. Stroud hasn't repeated his 1st year and Mills' performance was decent when he filled in after Stroud's injury and some were calling for him to remain starter. His future there is still in question even with a 5th year. We should have done the same, especially given that Bryce was benched.  Bringing in Grier is just another glaring billboard pronouncing the obvious. Dave Tepper still has his hands in the daily operations of this team. He controls the QB room because Bryce was his pick. Until Tepper finally admits that Bryce has barely lived up to the standards of a NFL Qb, we're going to spend our days reminiscing of when we were mediocre and finished 9-7.  It's just discouraging. We'll address every position on the field except the one with a glaringly obvious shortcoming. I had hoped Tepper really had backed off. Bryce's 5th year, Dalton's 2 year contract then trade, Kenny Pickett, Will Grier, Jack Plummer, and  Hendon Hooker say otherwise. It already feels like it's going to be a hard year of Panthers football to watch.
