And also I learned how to get water out of my well if the power grid goes down, and my neighbor said I can have access to his natural spring runoff. He is a prepper as well.

If no one maintains nuclear facities an they go boom within 3 weeks... and all food and water becomes radioactive... what u gonna do then? Enjoy thyroid cancer?

That's something I can't control.

Other things I can control.

I'm curious about this map... maps are kinda my thing...

One thing I notice right off is that there are two marks right near me in ILM. Now we do have the Brunswick Nuke Plant right across the river here, but not sure what the other mark is for? Maybe the GE plant in Castle Hayne? They have nuke facilities but no reactor that I'm aware of.

Not sure... maybe army base with some sort of underground nuclear reactor?

can anyone name me a historical disaster (outside of war) where guns were an important part of survival?

not saying it's a bad idea... just saying people seem to focus on the guns an awful lot. (which usually means they've just been reading some distopian sci-fi.)

that said, i have about 4 weeks of food and 2 weeks of water sitting in my basement.

I agree.

I have a buddy that wanted a Home Defense gun.

I told him to get a Mossberg500 or a Remy 870.

He bought a 900$ AR-15....

Then he bought a SAIGA

Now he wants another AR-15.

I told him the other day I prayed he never gets robbed because he will murder his entire family shooting through his drywall walls trying to hit the robber.

I'm keeping it simple, 9mm handgun, .22 rifle, 12G shotty.

poo gets bad... I will buy 1000 gallons of gas a sionara...

quitter!

My folks have 100+ acres in Rural Eastern NC.

Lots of wild game and pig farms/farm land.

If I can make it there, with my select few people in the loop, we can do ok I think.

reading this reminded me of this book I read...it's really good..he's ex military so he knows his poo when it comes to guns...it also just so happens that his wife is in my drunken book club..so we all read it one month and critiqued him on it..I'm now reading the second book in the series

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
